Plug Type and Travel Adapter Guide for Lithuania

Plug types used in Lithuania

Lithuania uses a single plug type: Type F. This plug type is not used in India, so your Indian plug will not fit.

Do I Need a Voltage Converter in Lithuania?

Lithuania runs on a main voltage of 220 volts at a frequency of 50 Hz. This is effectively the same as India's 230V/50Hz. You can plug any Indian device into a Lithuania socket without a voltage converter, as long as the plug shape fits.

Will my Indian charger work in Lithuania?

Your charger will work, but only with a plug adapter. Lithuania uses Type F sockets at 220V/50Hz. Your Indian phone and laptop chargers are dual-voltage (the label reads 100–240V), so they handle Lithuania voltage without any issue. The only question is plug shape — your Indian plug will not fit Type F sockets at all, so you must carry a travel adapter. You do not need a voltage converter — Lithuania's 220V is the same as India's 230V.
