200 Special Trains Update: Here’s how railways is ensuring passengers’ safety on Day 1

As India enters its day one of Unlock 1.0, 200 special trains start operations from today as railway resume services partially.

Note:
These special trains are in addition to the already operational 30 special AC trains and Shramik special trains for migrant labourers.

In order to keep the passengers safe and protected, Indian Railways is taking all safety measures and precautions during this time. From social distancing to thermal screening, all guidelines are being followed.

Passengers boarding special trains must keep these 6 important points in mind:

  • Only passengers with confirmed / RAC tickets will be allowed to enter the railway stations and board the trains.
  • The train fares will not include any kind of catering charges.
  • Passengers must download the Aarogya Setu app and maintain social distancing at all times.
  • Travellers must reach the railway station at least 90 minutes before the train departure time.
  • Passengers will not be provided with linen, blankets or pillows during the train journey.
  • It is mandatory for all passengers to wear face masks while entering and exiting from the railway station as well as during the journey.
