At Kumbh, Adityanath Unveils Plans for World’s Longest Expressway

In a first of its kind cabinet meeting, held at Kumbh, Yogi Adityanath announced the construction of a 600 km-long expressway to link the western part of the state to the east. It will be built at a total cost of Rs.36,000 crore.

He said, “This will be world’s longest expressway, approximately 600 km, it will take 6,556 hectares of land, it will cost approximately Rs.36,000 crore.”

Named ‘Ganga Expressway’, it will pass through Meerut, Amroha, Bulandshahr, Badaun, Shahjahanpur, Kannauj, Unnao, Raebareli and Pratapgarh before connecting with Prayagraj.

The meeting in Prayagraj was part of a series of decisions that Yogi Adityanath has taken to boost the profile of Kumbh Mela.
