Extension and resumption of several special trains by Railways

Good news for passengers!

Indian Railways has decided to resume and extend several special trains on various major routes in order to provide a comfortable experience to the travellers.

Book Trains

To clear the rush of passengers, the Northeast Frontier Railways has decided to continue the service of weekly special trains (07030/07029 ) between Secunderabad – Agartala – Secunderabad. Train no. 07030 Agartala–Secunderabad weekly special will start its run from 3rd December on every Friday whereas train no. 07029 Secunderabad – Agartala weekly special started its run on 29th November and will run on every Monday.

> The South Central Railway is set to extend special trains between

  • Narsapur–Secunderabad
  • Secunderabad–Vijayawada
  • Purna–Tirupati
  • Machilipatnam–Secunderabad 
  • Machilipatnam–Kurnool City


> Fully reserved superfast special trains between Nagercoil Junction and Tambaram will start from the last week of December.


Train no. 06004 Nagercoil Jn.–Tambaram superfast special will leave Nagercoil Jn. at 07:30 pm on 26th December and reach Tambaram at 07:55 am on Monday.

In the return direction, train no. 06003 Tambaram–Nagercoil Jn. superfast special will leave Tambaram at 04:00 pm on 27th December and reach Nagercoil Jn at 04:20 am on Tuesday.

> 06005/06006 Chennai Egmore–Nagercoil Jn– Chennai Egmore superfast special fare trains will soon start their run from the last week of December. Bookings are now open!

> The Konkan Railway is extending many train services to manage the rush during Christmas. These trains will run on routes include Diva Jn.–Ratnagiri, Diva Jn.–Sawantwadi Road, Sawantwadi Road–Madgaon and many others.
