Holi 2022: Many trains added & extended by the Indian Railways

In an exciting piece of news for train travellers, the Indian Railways has announced special trains, extension of special trains and temporary increment of coaches in many trains on important routes.

The Railways has decided to operate several special trains in order to manage the extra rush of passengers ahead of Holi.

A) In order to fulfill the demand of passengers, the South Central Railway will run four special trains between Hyderabad – Jaipur – Hyderabad. These special trains will have AC-1, AC-2, AC-3 and sleeper class coaches. Stoppages for this fully reserved train include Secunderabad, Nizamabad, Nanded, Akola, Khandwa, Bhopal, Ujjain, Bhilwara, Ajmer, etc. in both the directions.

B) The South Central Railway has decided to extend special trains between Secunderabad and Agartala to manage the extra rush of passengers. These special trains will have AC-1, AC-2, AC-3 and sleeper class coaches. Stoppages for this fully reserved train include Guntur, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Cuttack, Bhadrak, Kharagpur, Guwahati, New Halflong, etc. in both the directions.

C) The South Central Railway has also announced the extension of weekly special trains between Visakhapatnam and Secunderabad. This includes train nos. 08579, 08580, 08585 and 08586.

Apart from these special trains, Indian Railways has also announced to temporarily add a number of coaches in many trains. For the convenience of passengers, a total of 68 coaches will be increased in 35 pairs of rail services.
