Amet Haveli - A Heritage Lake View

Great location for a hotel. Beautiful views.You can easily walk to the city palace and it’s a great way to see the old streets. So much to see.Breakfast is fantastic (loved the Dosa) and they have proper coffee. Best we had in India.We had a suite with lake facing balcony. Beautiful. Large and luxury bathroom.Staff friendly and can help with anything.We see some people comment on cars: the old town gets crazy and it’s extremely hard to get around in a car. Our taxi driver did not drive to the hotel at all, we walked the last 400m( arrived 5am) and when leaving we got an Auto (Tuk Tuk) to meet our car outside the old town. You will understand this once here.Noise: it’s a heritage building so it is not sound proofed to a modern standard. There is a restaurant on site and we could hear the guests to past 11pm. Also, some days we could also hear chairs being moved etc to set up for breakfast at 6:45am. If you are a light sleeper this can be a problem.The room also needs some fixing: toilet roll holder on the skew. Not enough storage to hang clothes. More comfortable chairs on balcony. Maybe a sun lounger? We were also given a dirty iron but luckily it didn’t damage the shirt.With some very small corrections this would be 5 star across the board.

I recently stayed at Amet Haveli with my wife and our 4-year-old son, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by their top-notch hospitality. The staff is extremely polite, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. They made sure our family felt comfortable throughout the stay.The ambiance of the property is absolutely breathtaking’a perfect blend of heritage charm and lakeside beauty. Waking up to serene views of Lake Pichola and the surrounding architecture is something every traveler should experience at least once.We tried a variety of dishes during our stay, and I must say the food was exceptional. Every meal was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. Even our little one enjoyed the food, which is a big plus for families traveling with kids.Yes, the price is slightly on the higher side, but honestly, they do not compromise on quality or service at any point. The entire experience’from the room, service, ambiance, to the dining’felt completely worth it.I would highly recommend Amet Haveli to all visitors coming to Udaipur. Whether you’re traveling as a couple, with family, or even solo, this place will add magic to your trip.

This place has no parking although they claim to have parking facilities on Make my trip and other Booking apps.Although their location is good and interior is beautiful and reflects heritage. Other things are not great. The flush at their washroom doesn't work. There's no window inside room that will allow entering natural lights.Their staff is unaware about most of the things when you call them to reach the hotel. It's difficult to reach the hotel because of extremely narrow lane. But the most shocking part is - when I called them and said that traffic control is now allowing me to take my car towards your hotel they said yeah they won't allow, so please park your car somewhere come by Auto.They did not bear a penny of our parking charges. And we had to park our car on the open road where we had to pay 200 bucks also.During their breakfast which was part of the package in my booking, I asked for bread toast for 3timea and waited till the end to get it.The hotel is not bad, but doesn't worth the kind of money we had to pay. It was mistake booking there for sure.

Location, food and staff are very helpful. Highly recommend as it has an excellent view of Lake Pichola. Only small drawback was the narrow access road which we were not aware earlier. Rest all are very good.

The hotel is nothing short of fabulous! The restaurant cuisine is delicious and the staff are very attentive and professional. You are left wanting for nothing. Vijay Singh Chouhan was our breakfast waiter for 2 mornings and his service was faultless. He was extremely attentive and only too happy to oblige. Wonderful facility and staff. Thank you everyone.
