Anandam - A Luxury Resort in Udaipur

We reserved two rooms for a two-night stay. Pros: 1. The food quality and flavor stand out as one of the best parts of the experience. I suggest choosing the package that includes breakfast, dinner, and hi-tea as it offers good value. Compliments to the chefs and kitchen team. 2. The swimming pool is well-kept with clear water and provides beautiful views. 3. The resort's surroundings are completely natural and lovely, featuring small hills and numerous trees. Mornings here are very enjoyable. Cons: 1. Room service is quite slow. We had to call three times to get extra towels since we had children with us. 2. The rooms are somewhat basic and could be improved; some furniture and bathroom fixtures are old and rusty and should be replaced. For room service, you need to keep calling reception for everything. For example, slippers, shaving kits, and hair dryers are not provided by default; you must request them. Even room cleaning requires a call. There was no dedicated staff near the pool to help with swimming tubes, towels, etc., which should be addressed. 3. We stayed with two kids, but when I asked for an extra bed, they offered a very small one. Since it didn’t fit, they refused to provide it. The extra bed remained unused outside the room for two days, yet they still asked for extra charges. 4. The resort is located somewhat outside the city, so we recommend booking dinner there. Otherwise, you have to travel about 15 km to find food and tourist spots. Also, compared to Ananta and Aurika, the resort is smaller and could add a small gym, which is currently missing. There are no extra activities like evening folk dances, though they do have live music on weekends, which was nice.

My stay at this resort was quite disappointing and did not meet my expectations. The resort is situated in a very remote area with a poorly maintained access road. The path to the property is mostly rough soil with loose stones and gravel, making driving uncomfortable and raising concerns about potential tyre damage. My room lacked hot water, and despite contacting reception three times, no effective solution was provided. Although I had a private pool, it was very dirty with many dead insects floating in it. I asked reception to clean it, but no one came. The rooms were not fully equipped, and the food quality was poor. These problems disrupted my plans and caused unnecessary inconvenience. Overall, the experience was unsatisfactory given the price and the standards expected from a resort. I hope management addresses these issues to improve the stay for future guests.

This location was very tranquil and the entire staff were very kind, especially Sunil Yogi, whose service was outstanding ❤️ You should definitely visit, it's a truly wonderful place 🫶🏻

The housekeeping team members Ganguli and Manish are excellent. They cleaned my room well and handled any requests within just 2 minutes. I am very happy, thank you so much Ganguli.

This hotel offered a tranquil and inviting atmosphere. For those who enjoy understated luxury, this is an ideal choice. The environment was thoughtfully designed and serene. The hospitality was exceptional, especially from Vikaram Singh and Bhanu Pratap Singh, who went above and beyond to accommodate special food requests. I would definitely suggest this place to my friends and family.
