We had an excellent experience at Arya resort and spa...The rooms are comfortable and clean, food quality is good and tasty, staff is also very hospitable. It is situated in the outskirts of Mahableshwar, close to mapro garden, so if you are looking for a relaxing place, this is highly recommended. We also celebrated my daughter's first birthday here, and the staff was very helpful in the decorations and preparations. They also provided less spicy food options for children, as we asked. Great experience overall.

Family β’ India β’ Sep 2026Frustrating Management Issues
4.0
The hotel has great potential but is seriously affected by poor upkeep and management, which was very disappointing. We chose Arya because of its strong 4.3-star rating, but our 2-day stay with a group of 8 in rooms 304 and 305 was far below what we expected. Although the property shows signs of significant investment and promise, it is currently neglected and lacks proper management supervision. Main Problems in Rooms 304/305: - Maintenance & Safety: Several fixtures didn't work, such as the upper deck lights and electric kettle. More worryingly, the stairs to the upper deck were broken and unsafe, and the bathroom door lock jammed, trapping an 8-year-old child inside for 10 minutes, which was traumatic. This happened in both rooms. - Cleanliness & Hygiene: The rooms were not cleaned properly before we arrived. Bedsheets were not changed from the previous guests, bedcovers were inside out with frayed edges, dust was everywhere. The upper room smelled stale and sweaty. There was a strange toilet odor throughout. We even found a poisonous wild hammerhead worm on the bedside table. - Plumbing: The mug in the room was slimy and broken. Hot water was connected to the cold tap side, causing a 35-minute wait and staff intervention to resolve. - Electrical: Upper deck lights and electric kettle were non-functional, and switches were broken. - Food: The quality was inconsistent. Dinner yellow dal was bland, like diluted with water. Breakfast, except for Upma, had poor seasoning (too sweet sambhar, overly salty chutney, cold milk for coffee, bitter cold tea). The kitchen kindly made fresh hot tea on request. Day 2's poori bhaji and poha were acceptable. Positive: The staff on site, especially Rohit, were polite, humble, and tried to help with all issues. Conclusion: The staff are not at fault; the problems stem from management neglect. Until the management invests in repairs, thorough cleaning, and quality control, this place does not meet a 4-star standard and currently is not even suitable for 3 stars.
