Club Mahindra Poovar

I stayed at Mahindra Club, Poovar on August 15th and 16th as a non-member. I booked a normal room through their website at around ’15,000 per night (the only option available for non-members). Honestly, I’m thankful I’m not a member, because the experience was very disappointing.When we entered the room, it was full of insects and mosquitoes. The floor was sticky, tables were covered in dust, and the toilets looked like they were for public use’both in the room and in the restaurant. This speaks volumes about their cleanliness and hygiene standards.I called for room cleaning service, but they came only after 3 hours. Even then, they didn’t change the bed sheets, didn’t clean the tables, and didn’t clear the used plates and bowls.Most of the in-house activities like cycling and boating are chargeable. It would have been better if a few were complimentary for guests.The next day, a staff member from the restaurant approached us to join their club. When I shared my experience, he casually replied, *’For non-members, it will be like that.’* If this is how they treat paying non-members (who are charged almost 3 times the usual price), it clearly shows their intentions. The food quality was also not worth the high price.It felt like they were deliberately showing poor service to push us into their membership. I don’t know how members are treated, but as a non-member, the experience was unacceptable.**Think twice before booking here if you are not a member.**

Non members.. plz book other resorts nearby to avoid 2nd class treatment.. at same cost you can get lot of good resorts nearby...

I had an excellent stay, but I did have one concern regarding room service. However, I understand that the property is about to close for maintenance, which may be why resources are limited.The amenities are fantastic, and kids can have a great time at the property. It's a good place for family stays’quiet and decent overall.

Club Mahindra Resort, Poovar is a lovely place to unwind with family or friends. We stayed here a while back, but the experience still stands out. The resort itself and the scenic backwaters make it totally worth the stay.The place is clean and peaceful, and the staff is warm and helpful, always ready to assist. You also get a complimentary breakfast, which is a nice bonus.And yes ’ don’t forget to pack your swimsuit! Whether it’s the pool or just soaking in the calm surroundings, this is a stay you’ll be glad you chose.

Good location . It is near to the back water . Can see the sunset and the sea through the garden. The service staff is extremely warm. Specifically the travel desk guy Manoj is very very helpful. He is genuine and gives really good options. He helped us with the car and good driver and helped with itinerary. Otherwise also he was very helpful in our vacation stay. The pool was good and villas and grand studios are better stay places. The restaurant does not have much of options .
