The location is beautiful, and the brief boat trip to the hotel is an experience on its own. The staff are very polite and provide excellent service. Many activities can be arranged, but they come with very high prices, like one hour of kayaking costing Rs2000 plus tax. Unless you ask, you don't even receive a proper bill at checkout. The food was quite average, and our filter coffee milk was spoiled. What upset me most was when a foreign tourist wanted to use the restroom at the boat waiting area, there was no toilet paper, and the room lacked a wash basin or hand washing facilities. As a local tourist, I felt very embarrassed.

Coconut Lagoon doesn't really need another positive review—it's simply the best. Still, I want to share our experience :) The fact that you have to take a boat to reach the resort already hints at its high standards. We stayed in the heritage mansion since the villas were fully booked, and the experience inside was fantastic. The living area and open bathroom are on the ground floor, with the bedroom upstairs. The room itself was quite an experience. There are plenty of activities nearby like the butterfly park, yoga, and an ayurveda center. The Chaya Vallam (tea boat) is well-known now, and we enjoyed the afternoon snacks and tea there from 4 to 5 pm. The restaurant was excellent, with delicious buffets, though we especially loved the breakfast. The à la carte menu also offered some great dishes. The best part was the friendly and heartfelt service, especially from Dinesh, the manager, and his entire restaurant team. The bar was smoothly managed by Arun and Sachin, whether at Herons pond bar during the day or near the restaurant in the evening. There were cultural performances in the evenings, and all the artists were wonderful. Although three days felt short at first, we realized quality beats quantity and left with plenty of lasting memories. We hope to return soon and are already excited about it!

A fantastic place to stay, truly a treasure in Kerala. Definitely worth visiting and I plan to return. We encountered Anamika at the restaurant, who provided excellent service, and all the other staff were very friendly.

To the Management Team, I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent stay at your hotel, which was negatively affected by unprofessional behavior, poor facility conditions, and a total lack of responsibility. Right from the start, the experience was disrupted by a serious lack of coordination between your sales team and the property staff. I must clearly state that we were deceived about the room charges; I was overcharged significantly during booking and then forced to pay a large, unjustified extra amount at checkout. When I tried to resolve this, the sales representative, Ms. Anu Varghese, ignored my calls and messages, showing complete neglect of her professional duties. To make things worse, the room conditions were terrible. We found poor cleanliness, including a bed bug problem, and the service during our stay was very slow. At checkout, the situation got worse as no management was available to handle our complaints. Despite our requests, the junior staff at the counter did not try to connect us with Ms. Varghese or any other manager, leaving us unsupported. The staff on duty were clearly not prepared to deal with such serious problems, and this failure to provide basic customer service is unacceptable. I expect a quick and thorough response about both the billing issue and the poor conditions we faced at your hotel.
