Pearlspot Hotel

The spa experience was the worst part of our stay. The massage therapist locked the room and left, forgetting we were still inside. When she came back, instead of offering a genuine apology, she laughed it off like it was a joke. This was very unprofessional, careless, and disrespectful. The geyser wasn't working, which is basic for any hotel, especially when charging premium rates for a villa. The mattress was in terrible shape, sinking so much that we could feel the hard surface beneath, leading to back pain instead of rest. Overall, our experience at this property was awful. We paid extra for a villa expecting better comfort and service, but it was a total letdown.

The service was extremely poor, and there were many mosquitoes in the room. I requested a bar of soap and a mosquito repellent machine from room service, but it took two hours and three follow up calls just to receive a single bar of soap. Despite repeated requests, no mosquito repellent machine was provided. Additionally, the fan speed controller was broken

The room look old and tired and was not clean at all. The smell on the beddings shows that it was previously used by someone else. The air conditioner was broken and was not cooling at all. The AC vent blades were broken. The toilet was unclean and there was no bidets too. The bucket and mug given was mouldy and sink too was dirty. Even the grass was not mowed around the rooms. The restaurant area was undergoing some maintenance but even that was not organised well. So i didnt try the food. There was hardly any staff at reception. The TV set top box was broken. Both remotes didnt had any battery compartment covers. There is hardly any parking too. I checked out few hours after i checked in as i wasn’t satisfied at all. No staff to even take the keys back or take any of your concerns. Once i was out of the room by my car there was a lady begger inside the hotel premises asking us for money and i politely said i dont promote that and if she want food im happy to buy it for her. But she declined food and was pestering me for 200 rupees and wont let me even close my car door. One of the hotel staff saw this but did not do anything about it. So i believe its all a planned racket and may be they also get a share. Overall very bad place to book a stay. The place need a whole revamp.Update: Since the owner now replied that everything was in order, it will look like i was lieing. So im forced to write this update.There is definitely no bidet in the toilet for the room that we got. Im not blind not to find a bidet in toilet. Only bucket and mug is provided and they were not clean and mouldy. The toilet is in a disgusting state. Very unclean and even the sink tap was not fixed and it was moving around. The taps, sink hole etc were rusty. The toilet seat was yellowish and its evident that it was never changed or replaced.The grass is definitely not mowed 2 days ago or not even a week ago.If you say that there is parking on the other side as you said then you will need to put signs for parking to that area or tell your staff to inform the guests. There is no staff at the reception. When i arrived and when i was checking out there was no staff at the reception and there was no call bells. I had to go around looking for staff. When i returned the keys i did complain to the staff regarding the AC and the guy said he will report it. The AC is definitely not working, the blades dont swing as it was broken. The vents were covered in dust and looked like its never cleaned. The AC turns on but doesnt provide any cold air even at its lowest setting.The decorative sheet over the bed was definitely not washed for long time as it was dirty and smelly. There is no reason for me to lie after booking the room and i walked out after 2 hours as it was very unhygienic.

1. Rooms are very good2. Even though they have very less number of staff but they have managed to give good service with that limited number of people3. Food is good4. Parking is very limited5. Location is not so great, it's nearly 5km away from kumarakom town, but still it's near to bird sanctuary and other view points6. I had a peaceful stay in this property and I would like to recommend to solo and couples7. Value for money

It was a great experience. The rooms were very clean and the staffs were really helpful.
