Damodra Desert Camp

We stayed here for 2 nights. Clearly an amazing experience in the silence of the desert. Hitesh, Prithvi & Narayan treated us like very well. We took a camel ride in Sam’s sand dunes which was a very nice experience. Food was delicious, all local favourites like Ker Sangri, Kadhi, Rabodi ki sabzi, bajre ki roti, kheer etc. And importantly they served us dinner early which we requested for. They also have a very nice cultural program every evening that can be enjoyed under open starry skies. There are lots of peacocks in the camp. We also saw deer nearby. A wonderful village setting.We also took a drive to Tanot Mata temple, Laungewala, Khaba Fort & Kuldhara from our camp here and were driven by Kishan who was very courteous too.Overall, we had an unforgettable desert experience & would love to revisit.

We had a very good experience at Damodra Camp. The staff members were extremely cooperative, polite, and helpful, which made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The food was amazing and far better than expected ’ absolutely delicious! The overall amenities were very good, and everything was well maintained.It is definitely a must-book place and highly recommendable for anyone planning to visit. We truly enjoyed our stay and would love to visit again

What a hidden gem! Fresh air, peaceful surroundings. We were not expecting much from a tent in the desert, but we' were spectacularly surprised that our tent was more comfortable than our last "4 star" hotel. The bed was super comfy, the bathroom was beautiful and clean, and overall cozy ambience made this such a peaceful night. The multi course meal while enjoying a cultural show out under the stars was delicious. The hospitality is unmatched and the peacocks are fun to watch. The camp has a "community feel" where all the guests convene around the large campfire pit to share a meal after riding camels to the sunset in the dunes. I am writing this review while lying on a comfortable couch on the terrace enjoying a cool breeze and the sounds of wildlife around me while sipping masala chai before checkout. Great escape from the chaos and noise!!

The setting is tranquil and pristine, with peacocks and peahens wandering through the grounds, adding to the serene, almost regal atmosphere.The experience is elevated by the deeply personalized hospitality. Mr. Prithvi Singh, the owner, graciously extends special attention to every guest, ensuring a truly bespoke stay. The traditional welcome with folk music and dance sets a culturally rich tone, followed by enchanting evenings around the bonfire with perfectly prepared kebabs. All dairy products ’ fresh curd and paneer ’ are sourced from their own cattle, offering a rare taste of pure, unadulterated authenticity.A heartfelt appreciation for Ritesh and Pappu ji for their impeccable service and warm attentiveness. Adding immense charm to the stay were Sandy, the delightful 7-month-old Golden Retriever, and Jesse, the dignified 12-year-old milk-white Labrador ’ both absolute stars of the camp.

Camping amidst peacocks, silence, and nature ’ Damodara is truly a hidden gem. ’’If you love solitude, serenity, and being close to nature, this place is pure magic. We had such a beautiful, peaceful stay here.The ambiance is simply stunning, with peacocks wandering freely and a wonderful variety of birds all around ’ it feels like nature welcoming you in.Mr. Prithvi Singh, Mr. Narayan, and the entire team are incredibly warm, polite, and hospitable ’ they make you feel less like guests and more like family.The tents are clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained, the food is delicious, and the cultural activities add such a rich, authentic touch.Every moment felt special, calm, and memorable ’ an experience we’ll truly cherish. ’
