A good hotel, excellent management, and a great location make for a wonderful travel experience. Key features: beautiful and convenient location, organized and capable management, and a comfortable atmosphere for staying.
Unfortunately, my experience at Echor Malusara Lakeview Retreat was extremely disappointing and far below expectations. If I could give a rating of minus 5 stars, I absolutely would. This property was simply not worth the price.The reception staff was not friendly or welcoming at all, which created a very poor first impression. Despite the property being marketed as a lake-view retreat, the room we were given had virtually no view whatsoever—there was literally a large tree right in front of our room.The room itself had several serious issues. The light kept blinking, which was extremely uncomfortable and clearly reflected poor maintenance. Most importantly, the hygiene and cleanliness were pathetic. The washroom was not properly cleaned, and the extra pillow provided in the room was extremely dirty and unhygienic. I have attached pictures as proof of the condition.To make the experience even worse, we found a large crab-like insect inside our room. This is particularly concerning during the rainy season. If insects can enter the room so easily, there is a genuine safety concern that other reptiles or potentially dangerous creatures, such as snakes or leeches, could also enter. The property should have proper safety measures, especially around doors, windows, and other possible entry points, to protect guests.For a property charging this kind of price and presenting itself as a premium retreat, these are basic standards that should never be compromised. Cleanliness, hygiene, room maintenance, guest safety, and hospitality should be the minimum expectations of any resort.Overall, this was a highly disappointing and unpleasant stay. Based on our experience, I would definitely not recommend Echor Malusara Lakeview Retreat.Even on Sunday they don't have breakfast buffet. Low maintenance.I sincerely hope the management takes these concerns seriously and works on improving the basic standards of hygiene, maintenance, guest safety, service, and hospitality.No view. No hygiene. No proper service. Not worth it.
I paid 6,000 for the stay, but unfortunately, my overall experience was very disappointing. The room was not up to the standard I expected. The TV was not working, there was no proper cleaning, and the washroom was extremely dirty.Overall, nothing was satisfactory during my stay. Considering the amount I paid, I expected much better service and cleanliness. This was a very poor experience for me, and I would not recommend this place.
