Ekaant the Retreat

Today is Valentine’s Day, and unfortunately, our experience has been extremely disappointing. The restaurant appears to be severely understaffed, which is clearly a management issue and should not negatively impact customers in this way.For a restaurant that presents itself as high-class, the level of service has been far from satisfactory. We have been waiting since 5:30 PM, yet even basic arrangements like setting up our table were not handled properly.We were informed that dinner service would begin at 7:00 PM, but even by 7:45 PM, our order had not been taken. The only thing provided to us during this entire time was coffee. This level of delay, lack of communication, and poor coordination is unacceptable’especially on an occasion like Valentine’s Day, when guests expect a smooth and memorable experience.We strongly urge you to take this feedback seriously and make immediate improvements to your customer service standards.

I have been coming back to Ekaant Resort over and over again for many years now, and the primary reason is the absolutely stunning scenic views the resort offers. Every visit feels like a reset for the soul.The resort has a restaurant and bar, and the restaurant ’ Vyanjan ’ deserves a special mention. It serves excellent food across cuisines: veg and non-veg starters, Indian, Chinese and Continental main courses, all consistently well prepared. The bar is well stocked, and what really stands out is how reasonable the pricing is. Considering the remoteness of the location, the availability of such good quality food and drinks is truly praiseworthy.The service staff are another big highlight ’ always cheerful, warm, and genuinely attentive. They go out of their way to make guests comfortable, which adds immensely to the overall experience.The views from the rooms are simply breathtaking, and if you visit during the monsoon, you’re in for something magical. The glass walled restaurant also offers stunning views of the waterbody nearby while one finishes off the plate. It rains incessantly, monsoon clouds literally drift into the rooms, and the combination of rain-washed greenery, mist, clouds, cool crisp air and constant rainfall is just unforgettable.The long, winding drive uphill from Temghar Dam to the resort is an experience in itself, especially during the monsoon. The road is scenic, and you’re greeted by multiple waterfalls cascading down the hillsides along the way ’ a joy for anyone who loves driving.On every visit, I also make it a point to roam around the streets of Lavasa. While much of the town feels abandoned, the senior living complex and the Christ University campus do lend it some life, and walking around always feels quietly intriguing.All in all, Ekaant Resort is a place I keep returning to ’ for the views, the monsoon magic, the food, the hospitality and the journey itself. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates nature, calm and scenic escapes.

Location is very good. View from resort and balcony is superb. Restaurant is good. Taste was good but service is too slow.Rooms ahe ok. Amenities are less. Ambience is very nice.

Ekaant The Retreat is truly a 5/5 experience and exceeded all our expectations. Given its almost remote, quiet setting near Lavasa, we didn’t anticipate city’hotel-level hospitality but Ekaant surprised us. The service, amenities, and overall experience match (and in some ways surpass) that of high end urban hotels.The staff availability is excellent, from valet and housekeeping to the restaurant team at Vyanjan. Every staff member is well trained, courteous, and genuinely hospitable, which makes the stay feel warm and welcoming throughout.The rooms are spacious, neat, and very well maintained. All essentials such as ACs, geysers, and other fittings work well, and the smart TVs offer good channel options. Executive rooms also come equipped with a refrigerator, adding extra convenience.One of the absolute highlights of the property is the view. All 20 rooms offer stunning vistas! Rooms 11 to 20 overlook the Mutha River directly, while rooms 1 to 10 provide a beautiful angle of the river and Dasve dam with a top view of Lavasa City on the right. The scenery is breathtaking with layered mountains and a zig-zagging river, which feels straight out of a painting. The peaceful atmosphere, with minimal noise and natural sounds like birds chirping, truly enhances the retreat experience.The property is also very versatile. It includes a conference room, a lounge with indoor games, and a large open ground suitable for outdoor activities like badminton, a kids’ jungle gym, or gatherings such as small weddings, meditation retreats, parties, and events.The in-house restaurant, Vyanjan, deserves special mention. Not only is the food delicious, but some of it’s also beautifully presented and Instagram worthy. The staff regularly checks in to ensure you’re enjoying your meal, listens carefully to requests, and delivers service with a consistently positive attitude.Overall, Ekaant The Retreat is a hidden gem that goes beyond what you’d expect in a location like Lavasa (somewhat abandoned). With its breathtaking views, expansive space, exceptional hospitality, and proximity to Lavasa City, it’s perfect for peaceful getaways as well as destination events.Kudos to the entire Ekaant The Retreat team for an outstanding experience!

A beautiful place to stay in nature! Ekaant truly lives up to its name. The lake and mountain views are stunning, making it one of the most quiet and scenic spots in Lavasa. It’s far enough from the main city area to feel private and peaceful. Great food, clean rooms, and excellent hospitality. Will definitely visit again!"
