Feedback: Inflexible Temperature Standards and Unnecessary Room Move (Feb 1st)I am writing to share my disappointment regarding the rigid climate control policy during my recent stay.I was informed by the maintenance team who came to fix the issue, that the hotel has established a "standard" temperature of 23??C, with the justification that this is sufficient for all guests. This one-size-fits-all approach is highly problematic. Comfort is subjective, and for many, 23??C is far too warm for a restful night’s sleep.Because the thermostat in my room was locked and could not be lowered, I felt compelled to request a room change to a different part of the same floor, hoping for a cooler environment. While I appreciate that your staff was professional and handled the luggage transfer for me, the fact remains that I had to go through the hassle of relocating just to address a temperature issue.This experience felt more like a stay at a budget, low-star hotel where facilities are limited, rather than the premium experience I expect from Marriott. A guest should never have to pack their bags and move rooms simply because the hotel refuses to allow individual temperature control.My Concerns:Guest Autonomy: A "standard" temperature cannot account for the diverse needs of international travelers.Inconvenience: Even with staff assistance moving luggage, requesting a room move because of a locked thermostat is an unnecessary burden on the guest.Value for Money: At Marriott’s price point, the environment should adapt to the guest, not the other way around.I hope you will reconsider this policy and empower your guests to control their own comfort.

We had a really warm and comfortable stay at Fairfield by Marriott, Vizag, with our family (including two young kids). From start to end, the experience felt smooth, well-managed, and genuinely caring. We booked the room through their official reservation phone number, and the support executive made the booking process very easy and hassle-free.Before reaching the hotel, I spoke to the front desk and requested an additional bed. Thrishti was cooperative, quick to respond, and assured us a comfortable stay. When we arrived, the welcome was pleasant, and the arrangements were already in place.We also had a small but very specific request ’ my younger one insisted on having a fan. Without making it a ’big thing’, the team arranged a table fan for us, and that was such a thoughtful gesture.They also offered complimentary breakfast for all four of us throughout the stay, which was a nice surprise. The breakfast spread and food were good, and we genuinely carried lovely memories from the restaurant.Room service was handled very well. Rajalakshmi and Shakib took great care of cleaning, and kept bringing the essentials on time, without us needing to keep following up. Front desk Sravani was equally helpful and supportive whenever we reached out.The most touching part came during checkout. Prathiva brought two bags full of cookies, muffins, and other goodies for our kids for the long travel. We were truly moved by that. And because my younger one loves tiramisu, they also arranged a quick thank-you cake with tiramisu ’ such a sweet and personal gesture.One main reason I’m sharing this review is because my kids have chronic eczema and are allergic to many food ingredients. The clear labelling at the restaurant, along with the staff support, helped us choose the right food without stress. Usually, this is the biggest challenge I face whenever we stay outside with kids, so this meant a lot to us.This was our first stay at Fairfield, and we are completely satisfied with the hospitality, service, and food. Definitely recommending it to anyone visiting Vizag ’ especially families travelling with kids. Thank you again to the entire Fairfield team.

An exceptional stay at Fairfield by Marriott Visakhapatnam. Beautifully maintained rooms, refined comfort, and seamless hospitality throughout the stay. The staff was consistently warm, professional, and attentive. Special appreciation to Tharshi, Sravani, Chef Debender, and Chef Pinky for their gracious service and exquisite food. Though I may be missing a few names, every team member contributed to a truly memorable experience. Highly recommended for a premium and effortless stay in Vizag.

Really enjoyed my stay at Fairfield Marriott Visakhapatnam,and the overall vibe of the hotel was relaxing. Great location and good facilities definitely a nice place to stay in the city. There's some attraction nearby around 10 km beach and navy museum.There are a few attractions within 10 km, such as the beach and the Navy Museum, and you can also enjoy good seafood at the beachside.

The housekeeping team did a fantastic job keeping everything perfect throughout my stay.The breakfast buffet was delicious with a wide variety of options, and the restaurant service was top-notch. The location is also perfect ’ close to major attractions yet peaceful and quiet.
