We had a great stay at this ITC property.It’s well maintained. Rooms were clean, food was great and their service was exceptional. The entire staff was very polite. I don’t remember everyone’s name but I do remember Rukaya, Tamana, and Nighat. They were all very welcoming and took care of all the guests.

The service was very good and everything was excellent. The food and the service team were very warm and welcoming. An excellent option for those looking to stay in the heart of Pahalgam town close to the marketplace, Fortune Pahalgam (earlier Hotel Hilltop) is a peaceful respite from the maddening crowds that often throng Pahalgam centre. Despite being just a 10 minute walk from the market, the property lends itself into a quiet nook nestled on the top of a small hill, giving guests a peaceful and tranquil stay.Service is top notch, and the staff here will go out of their way to make sure that you are well taken care of in true Kashmiri hospitality style, which seems unparrelled in the country at present. A special mention must be made for Mr Umar who works at the front desk, who went out of his way to ensure that we had an excellent room with a nice view that we were really craving. Thank you Umar ji for your lovely hospitality and the most wonderful room we could have asked for. It is these little things that can greatly enhance a person's holiday.Rooms are very well appointed, with excellent amenities that are retisent of the Fortune brand. For example, our upgraded room came with a living area with its own separate TV, a jacuzzi and all the bells and whistles one craves in a premium property.The property hosts a wonderful restaurant, and will soon be home to a new cafe, gym and spa for those seeking that little extra. Sadly, we missed these but I have it on good ear that they are on track to open by April 2026 before the summer tourist season.Pro tip: It is better to have some transport if you plan to stay here, especially for the elderly or infirm as the hotel rests on a small hill above the main market. We walked it and it took us around 10 minutes to walk up but works well if you have your own transport.
