Havelock Island Beach Resort

We booked 4 rooms for 4 nights. Our stay was overall comfortable. The staff was quite polite, prompt and helpful. Service was fast. The location is quite nice, it is less than 1 km from havelock jetty. Probably the nearest good hotel from havelock jetty. They have private beach with turquoise water views, shaded areas with tree. Beach is not suitable for swimming though as it has stones. You may not see them during high tide like morning, but they are visible when water receedes in afternoon. There is a narrow are on the left side from where you can escape the stones and reach turquoise water patches. During low tide, you can walk over the stones and also see some small fishes, crabs, shells. etc. We could also see starry night skies from front as well and breach side of the hotel which was quite nice. Food quality was good. We tried naan, daal, rice, noodles, paneer and aloo parathas, buffet breakfast. They were mostly good. Food was a bit costly though, probably because all ingredients are imported far from Chennai. They do have water activity desk and PADI scuba center. But they were almost 1.5 to 2 times the cost available from any outside vendor. We did all water sports from external local vendors which were quite good. You can walk out of hotel and go towards left hand side to see an array of scuba, kayak local vendors. They have a decent swimming pool, but not for kids as the depth was 4.5 feet. They have DJ towards the beach but it was more of a problem as it will go on till 10 PM or more and in andaman if you are doing water sports, you need to wake up very early like 4 or 5 AM, take rooms towards reception to minimize. They gave us rooms near reception and on ground floor as we had senior citizens as well as kids. There are no other indoor games area or activities like pool, TT, etc, but we never missed them :-)Overall it was a good stay, nice location, helpful staff, nice food. But nothing exceptional.

We booked our family stay in HIBR for a deluxe room. It was a big let down with the amount i paid for 2 nights stay.I do not recommend HIBR for family stay. Its not worth a single penny spent.1. The rooms were stinky and walls had crack where you can find plenty of insects and lizards hidden. 2. Bathrooms were choked and flush wasnt working.3. Staffs were not courteous and they used to take their own sweet time to cater to any requests.4. Stray dogs were roaming all around the swimming pool and property, even dipping their mouth in the pool making it infectitious and unhygenic.5. Complimentary breakfast wasnt worth the penny with very few items. Idli served tasted sour and very hard and not soft.After multiple requests and complaints i got my room changed at late night but this is something not expected from a property that claims to be a 4star.6 - the resort was unable to provide the timely transport even after prerequest. The transport manager called me and asked me to report at the main entrance but the car was not available and then i was told that it went for another trip and they had no clue when will it return. 7 - common bathroom at reception was stinking and leaking making the floor watery and even after complaining the staff threw the cold shoulder as if its no big deal.Overall, very unpleasant stay with lot of hiccups. One never wants to go through this ordeal on a trip with paying such a huge tariff.I dont even feel like giving it 1 star.

Swiming pool is not worth swiming. Beach is not that attractive. Not much to offer in breakfast, small space with too many occupants looks canteen

We had a wonderful 2-day stay at Havelock Island Beach Resort. The ambience and location were excellent, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy the island vibes.The staff were friendly and helpful, and they also assist with water activities booking, so if you want, you can easily book everything directly from the resort, which is very convenient.The resort also has a nice swimming pool and a good restaurant with tasty food options, adding to the overall experience.Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Would definitely recommend this resort to anyone visiting Havelock Island!
