Nice clean room and hospitable staff.. in house food was great... Their breakfast starts at 7.30 but as we checked out early morning 5, they packed us our breakfast which was so welming..

During our visit to Alipurduar last January for a family programme, we stayed at this hotel, conveniently located right on Buxa Feeder Road. We arrived quite late at around 11 pm on the cold night and somehow managed to park the car in the limited parking area.We were allotted a road-facing room on the second floor. The room was spacious, but the quality of the mattress and linen was somewhat disappointing. The blankets, in particular, were not adequate for the winter chill. The attached bathroom was on the smaller side but maintained clean.We had morning tea and breakfast, both of which were quite decent. Though the in-house restaurant serves Indian and Chinese cuisine, we didn’t get the opportunity to try a full meal there. The staff throughout our stay were courteous and provided good service, which added to the overall comfort.Given its pricing and location, it works well as a practical stopover for short or transit stays, though it may not suit those looking for a more comfortable or long-duration stay.

I was thoroughly disappointed with the service at Dooars Mountain Restaurant, particularly with the staff member named "Rajesh" at the reception. On my friend's birthday, we visited the restaurant expecting a pleasant dining experience. However, Rajesh's attitude completely ruined it.When I politely asked him to change the song playing in the background, he responded rudely without even acknowledging me. He didn't bother to look up from the computer screen and curtly said "no." The lack of courtesy and professionalism was shocking.Given the circumstances, I expected a more understanding and accommodating response from Rajesh. Instead, his behavior was completely unacceptable. It's unfortunate that someone with such a poor attitude is representing the restaurant.I would advise the management to take note of this incident and provide better training to their staff on customer service and communication. Until then, I would not recommend visiting this restaurant.- Service: 1/5- Ambiance: 3/5Recommendation: Improve staff training and customer service to ensure a pleasant dining experience for customers.
