Hotel Golden Riviera

I had booked a stay at Hotel Golden Riviera for 18th December. I am writing this with a heavy heart to express how deeply disappointed I was with my experience.I was in Mysuru to attend the Mysuru Yoga Festival. During my lunch break, I arrived at the hotel to check in around 1:30 PM. The person at the reception’whom I assume was the day manager’was on a phone call at the time. Possibly due to staff shortage, a room attendant escorted me to the assigned room, Room 203. Upon opening the door, it became evident that the room had not been cleaned.The room attendant left me waiting in the foyer and returned after some time, then led me to another room, Room 209. I entered the room, left my luggage, and rushed back to the conference. While leaving, the day manager stopped me and informed me that I had not booked Room 209 but a different room altogether.This clearly reflected a lack of communication among the staff. I explained that I was in a hurry and that it was not my responsibility if the room attendant had escorted me to the wrong room.I returned to the hotel around 9:00 PM, only to find that my room key card was not working. I went back down to the reception, where the night manager said the card needed to be activated. After he did so, I went back up’but the card still did not work. I returned to the reception once again, and despite explaining the issue, I was advised in a dismissive manner. Eventually, it turned out that the key card itself was faulty.After finally settling in and preparing for bed’keeping in mind I had an early start the next morning’I received a call around 10:15 PM from the night manager stating that I was in the wrong room and needed to change rooms immediately.That was the breaking point. Despite having booked the stay for two nights, I informed them that I would be checking out the next morning.I checked out early the following morning.This experience was not only exhausting but also deeply unsettling. As a solo female traveller, I did not feel safe or taken seriously. The lack of coordination, repeated inconveniences, and late-night disturbance are unacceptable.I would not recommend this hotel, especially to solo travellers.Additionally, a service cart was kept right outside my room for the entire duration of my stay. Despite repeatedly requesting that it be moved, it remained there throughout, adding to the discomfort and inconvenience.I strongly believe that good customer service must come from the heart’not merely as a checklist of tasks. Unfortunately, that was missing during my stay.

The food in the restaurant was just phenomenal. More impressive was the service. All the staff were great with courteousness, calmness, smiles. Chandru stood out though. He was patient, calm and advised us on food choices and he was bang on. Highly recommend the food and the service. We didnt stay at the hotel so cannot comment on the rooms etc.

Location is good and newly constructed hotel. Only draw back is having limited car parking facilities.Food in the restaurant is very nice.

First it looks all good but then?1. Rooms are very congested2. Service is very pathetic. Glass , towel , Nepkin not in room. After asking also few things come after 1 hr and rest don't even come3. Food is tasty but not available from the menu given4. No service given after 10 pm in room5. No Hindi channel.6. Manager is so rude that he didn't even answer you properly, if once called for service he will not receive the same call again7. They are more interested in their restaurant business rather then room stay business

The room was one of the best for the price range. Very comfortable and beautiful room.
