Hotel Sonar Bangla Kolaghat

And honestly, for such a disappointing and third-class resort, I was surprised to see how much attitude they have and how many unnecessary rules they impose on their guests. So, Sonar Bangla Resort’this is my personal experience, and after what happened with us, I would not recommend this resort to anyone. If you are planning a family trip, there are so many other resorts and destinations you can choose from. Sonar Bangla is not the only resort in the world.I have travelled to Kerala, Hyderabad, Mandarmani, Digha, Delhi, Bhopal, Manali, and many other places. I have stayed at resorts that are much bigger, much more beautiful, and much better maintained than Sonar Bangla. But I have never experienced a system like this before, where you are asked to purchase a coupon before you can even enter the resort.I have visited resorts that are far more beautiful and better maintained than Sonar Bangla, but I have never seen such a disappointing service and entry system. When you build a resort for families, you should allow families to come inside and enjoy the place. Let the family decide whether they want to eat there or not.If the family is satisfied with the resort and its services, they may happily spend ’2,000 or even ’5,000 on food. But if they are not satisfied, they should have the freedom to leave.Instead, this ’500-per-person coupon system feels like you are forcing families to invest money before they even know whether they will enjoy the place or not. And according to what we were told at the entrance, if the full amount is not spent within two hours, the remaining amount is non-refundable.Honestly, this is the first time I have personally seen such a system at a resort.Anyway, our experience was extremely disappointing and, in my opinion, completely below expectations.I would personally not recommend Sonar Bangla Resort to anyone. There are so many better resorts available. If you ever get a chance, visit Mandarmani and explore the resorts there. You will understand the difference in terms of beauty, maintenance, service, and overall experience. For me and my family, this turned out to be a completely roasted experience rather than an enjoyable family trip. And after this experience, I don't think I will ever visit this resort again, and I will not recommend it to anyone in the future.

The property is truly awesome and perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway. HSB Kolaghat is a beautiful, lush green property situated on the banks of the Rupnarayan River. The peaceful surroundings and well-maintained greenery make it an ideal place to unwind.Children will especially enjoy the large green playground and the variety of activities available for them. My child had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The swimming pool, open from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, is another major attraction. You can even enjoy your favourite drinks while relaxing in the pool. The property looks even more beautiful at night when the entire hotel area is illuminated with decorative lights, creating a wonderful ambience.HSB Kolaghat also has a bar-cum-restaurant called Ripples Bar & Kitchen, which is open to outside visitors as well, even if they are not staying at the hotel. There were, however, a couple of minor disappointments. Although the hotel is located on the banks of the Rupnarayan River, the river view from the rooms is largely obstructed by big trees. Also, the food is slightly expensive, and in terms of taste and quality, it did not quite match the standards of some other HSB properties.Overall, despite these minor shortcomings, we had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay at HSB Kolaghat. It is definitely a great destination for a peaceful weekend getaway, especially for families with children.

We are enjoying a wonderful time with childhood friends. The atmosphere and food are excellent.
