Hotel Sonar Bangla Mandarmoni

The property is good but the main thing that is missing is the maintenance and hygiene. Not expected from such a well reputed hotel.the resturant staff are very cordial and polite. Food is also good. But why keep sweeping and cleaning brooms and rags exposed near the Restaurant wash basin?The resturant kept smelling like dirty and damp rags when we first entered. Terrible impression.Same with the premium room we booked. Right front of our door the whole flight of stairs were filled with Used dirty mops, cleaning rags and cleaning liquids.This too ruined the experience a bit. Not a view anyone expects to see on a relaxing staycation.the restaurant floors were a bit dirty and had food, which kept attracting flies on the table. We had to nag them for cleaning the floor before ordering food.Overall it felt they don’t like to train and invest on the cleaning staff at all. This should be a basic requirement for any resort that is 3 star or 5 star.Lastly there is no elevator in the building. What is the point of a resort staycation if our aged parents have to struggle and climb there too?Hope our feedback is taken into accounts and improved in future.

The resort requires urgent renovation immediately. The rooms are ill maintained, stinky and full of flies and mosquitoes, the washrooms smell bad, the sheets and pillows are dirty, the ac doesn’t work well. We were given standard rooms and it’s appalling to see how hefty the charges were for rooms in such bad condition. We made bookings for late checkout and early check in but were denied so upon arrival and asked to pay extra for the services. The only good part was the restaurant food , the private beach and the pool that was clean and well maintained. But the moment you enter the room, you will be absolutely let down. It’s high time the authorities realise that a flashy exterior with giant lawns , park and pool won’t make up for an uncomfortable stay like the one we had. There were other guests complaining about the same issues while we were checking out and it’s very disheartening to see how so many people who just wanted to have a good time with their friends or family were disappointed with their stay.

I want to keep it short. The food was excellent no doubt. They cordially cooperated with the food preferences for my baby. Really appreciate that. The only downside was the room and its condition. We had actually booked the premium luxury room which is sea facing but unfortunately it’s not well maintained. Walls coming off. Bathroom was not good. I would request the staff to look into it. Thank you

I stayed at Sonar Bangla, Mandarmani for a night with my family, and it was a great experience overall. The hotel is well-maintained with excellent amenities, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The rooms were clean, spacious, and offered a relaxing ambiance. The staff was courteous and helpful throughout.The breakfast buffet was good, though I felt it could be improved slightly by including fresh fruits. Apart from that small miss, everything else was spot on.Would definitely recommend it for a peaceful family getaway by the beach!
