Hello,I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent stay at Iris Sarovar Portico, Gurgaon. The experience began with a clear case of misleading marketing on Agoda, where King Size bed imagery was used to represent what turned out to be a Twin bed booking I can confidently say that most customers rely heavily on images especially when booking in a hurry and it is the hotel’s responsibility to ensure that visuals accurately reflect the room category. However, the lack of service recovery was even more concerning. When I politely requested a room change to match the visuals, I was met with repeated delays. At one point, when I suggested that the booking be canceled if a resolution couldn't be reached, the staff member dismissively told me to 'do whatever you feel like' through the app, showing a complete lack of accountability. Though a room change was eventually granted, it was framed condescendingly as 'compensation,' with a warning that I should be more careful in the future. As someone who regularly stays at reputed 4-star and 5-star properties,I have never encountered such handling of a simple and reasonable request. The experience fell short of the standards one would expect from a brand like Sarovar Portico.I will also be sharing this feedback on Agoda’s negative review channels, as this issue originates from both the platform’s presentation and the hotel’s lack of alignment with it.
