’’’’’Visited the Mysore gift shop at Hotel Lok Sagar and had a lovely experience. They have a good collection of authentic Mysore products like sandal soaps, perfumes, and traditional souvenirs. The shop is neat, well-organized, and convenient for tourists. A great place to pick up gifts and take a piece of Mysore home! ’’’’

It's not elegant, and has some quirks, but we had a nice stay at this family-run hotel.Room: We opted for the Superior Comfort Room, which was clean and quite spacious, and had a refrigerator. It was reasonably attractive, but a bit more shabby than the pictures would suggest. The shower was fine, though I had to run the water for some time to achieve a decent temperature, and no bathmat was provided.Location: Conveniently located within an easy walk of two palaces and the outstanding Devraja Market. A few restaurants are within easy walking distance.Food: Breakfast was a pleasant surprise, with good Indian options at well as eggs, cereal, toast, etc. The coffee was not impressive, but did the job. We ate a decent lunch at the hotel restaurant, though truth be told it seems to be hard to get a bad meal in this country.Staff: Staff were responsive to requests; some were friendlier than others. Lakhsmi in particular was very cheerful and friendly. Housekeeping was hit or miss; multiple requests were required to get a new roll of toilet paper.Value: Quite good, especially for a city.

When we arrived in Mysuru, the first hotel we visited’and the one we selected immediately without any second thoughts’was Hotel Lok Sagar.The most noteworthy person there is the manager, Mr. Rajesh. He welcomed us with a warm smile and genuine affection. Even though he is the manager, he personally took care of everything for us with great kindness and a positive attitude.The pricing is reasonable, and we were also given complimentary breakfast, which was excellent. The food was tasty, the rooms were superb, and everything was neat and clean.Overall, Hotel Lok Sagar is a very good option, and we had a pleasant and satisfying stay.

The rooms are decent for the price. It's located within walking distance from the Mysore palace. Even the city center is very close by. The location is perfect. The only drawback is the parking. There is no enough parking in the front. They also have a basement parking but it's a bit tedious. Overall it's really a good stay.

This hotel was great value for money. The rooms were clean and comfortable, though ours only had a very small window. The breakfast was decent and everyone who worked there was friendly and helpful. The manager was especially helpful when we needed to book a taxi on short notice. The location was a short walk from the palace and some nice restaurants. Overall, a solid, budget-friendly choice for a night or two in Mysore.
