My experience at Hotel Luxuria Varanasi was disappointing and did not meet basic hospitality expectations. The hotel is located in a very crowded area with heavy traffic, and parking is extremely limited, accommodating only about 3 to 4 cars. The staff seemed unprepared and unable to handle simple situations. For example, when I left my room key on the restaurant table during breakfast, I requested a duplicate key but they just unlocked the door, took the key back, and left. I had to use my credit card in the key slot to keep the power on and then retrieve the original key myself from the restaurant table where it was plainly visible. The security guard was the best part of the hotel, but the reception staff was arrogant and unprofessional, making the atmosphere unpleasant. The hotel enforces strict and unreasonable rules, making it feel more like a strict hostel than a comfortable hotel. The rooms lack basic amenities such as laundry bags, shoe cleaners, and ironing boards. The bathrooms are average and reflect the overall poor service. Additionally, the hotel charges a 5% convenience fee for credit card payments, which I have never encountered at major hotel chains. This feels like bad business practice rather than a financial issue. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel and suggest looking elsewhere for a better stay in Varanasi.
