Stayed here for 2 nights; excellent for location being close to Assi ghat and shankat mochan hanuman temple and just off major road. Place is clean spacious and provides old world charm. Negative is facility because no running restaurant although food is provided upon request with a considerable time lag. No elevator so could be a challenge to many people with stairs climbing.
The staff is quite rude and seems untrained. During the busy summer season, they can't even start the generators promptly—it takes them at least 20 minutes. The mattresses were worn out, leading to back pain, and the walls showed signs of seepage.
