I have the absolute amount of respect for the wait staff that work at hotels, and the staff at Minerva Grand Kondapur are no more hardworking than others I've seen. The managers and concierges however need to do better. The rooms were dated, very big for their size by today's standards, but extremely dim lighting in the rooms. I had several cockroaches in my room, and I complained about it, so they moved me to their top floor suite room. Alas, cockroaches there too. The complimentary breakfast was cold both days I tried it (Day 1: 09:30 am and Day 2: 07:45 am). The manager and the staff were arguing at the buffet, raising their voices and making it deeply uncomfortable for the couple of diners. I checked out a day early citing the issues. The concierge at the desk was stone-faced, unapologetic, and frankly bored . I've never seen a hotel that needs a complete customer-service rehaul more than this one. I moved over to Holiday Inn Express, where the room was less expensive, better lit, and 200% worth it for customer service.

I have booked a room at this hotel, and to add 2 more guests, they charged me an additional Rs 2675 for the same executive suite. When I checked for booking the same executive suite for 3 guests, it cost the same amount of Rs 7,453, which I paid for 1 guest. The only mistake I made was not adding the names of the three guests at the time of booking. The attitude of the lady receptionist at the front office was very poor, and she was behaving as if she were insulting guests, as there was a humiliating tone in her voice. When I approached her along with my family, she asked me if I was going for a single occupancy, which means she lacks common sense and poor customer service skills. I responded that there are two additional guests, then she made a gesture with her hand as if I did some wrong thing. she could be a negative representation for this hotel. She didn't provide a bill for the additional costs charged.
