They mentioned it was a beach resort, which is what we booked, but don't expect any extras like a brush plate or additional services. The room is decent but nothing special.

I seldom write negative reviews, but my stay at Nalanda Retreat was so unsatisfactory that I must caution others. The rooms do not match the images shown on their website or social media. The property is in poor condition and neglected, and I have included actual photos to show the true state. Communication was very bad; they vanished for weeks without replying to messages, then came back with new excuses and delays, including now. The biggest problem is the refund. I stayed in February, and after admitting the issues, the manager promised a full refund in April. It's now July, and I have yet to receive any money. For months, I was given empty promises, shifting reasons, and new payment dates that were never met. Their ongoing claims of financial troubles preventing the refund make me question the business's stability. Overall, my experience involved misleading ads, awful customer service, and a refund still unpaid five months after my visit.
