The property is located in a quite fishing hamlet next to a public beach. The cottages are well furnished and maintained. We used the garden facing cottage which was very comfortable for a family of four. Though the bathrooms are semi open the experience is unique. The property is more than 18 years old but very well maintained, clean and have a wonderful staff. The ambience with the coconut trees and plants gives a very peaceful and tranquil feeling, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The chef and his team in the restaurant were excellent and extremely accommodative to our dietary requirements (Vegan). The local cuisine prepared by them was taste and awesome. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful. Had a wonderful Kerala ayurvedic massage along with free consultation with an ayurvedic doctor who gave us some very informative suggestions for better health. Overall, had a wonderful holiday at Neeleshwar Hermitage and we are looking forward for our next visit.

Very good for calmness and relaxation

Two people stayed for two days. It's a nice and peaceful place to stay with family. We paid 15k per night but I don't think it was worth it. The breakfast lacked flavor. Lunch and dinner were overpriced for the simple food they offered. The spa experience was very disappointing; the face massage felt rough and unprofessional. The shirodhara treatment, which is usually relaxing, felt like they just poured oil on the head without any proper technique. Over two days, we spent nearly 70k but didn't have any great experiences with the food or spa. The only things we enjoyed were the night walk on the beach and the well-maintained, hygienic pool.

Had a truly calming and rejuvenating stay at Neeleswar Hermitage. The property is beautifully designed to offer a peaceful, slow-paced experience, with stunning beach-facing views that instantly put you at ease.One of the highlights was the infinity pool ’ an absolute must during sunset. Watching the sun dip into the horizon from there is an experience in itself. The seafood restaurant is another standout, food is a bit costly.What makes this place unique is its thoughtful, nature-inspired concept. The rooms intentionally have no TVs, encouraging you to disconnect and unwind. The bathrooms, with trees integrated into the design, add a refreshing and earthy touch.In the evenings, the staff lights diyas and agarbatti in the rooms, creating a warm, serene ambiance that elevates the entire experience. The attention to such small details, along with the courteous and attentive staff, makes the stay feel truly special.They also strongly promote a no-plastic, eco-friendly approach. Almost everything on the property is environmentally conscious ’ even the waste baskets are traditional bamboo ’kotta,’ which adds to the rustic charm while supporting sustainability.Overall, it’s a perfect destination if you’re looking to relax, reconnect with nature, and enjoy a quiet beachside escape.
