This is an awesome property ....we booked it last moment and glad we did as that changed the dynamics of our holiday. You can just run to beach in a minute from your room and it has all the things you can expect at beach resort.The staff was amazing and so was the food. Loved the small touches of readability across the property

We had a terrible experience at this restaurant! We wasted a significant amount of time waiting for food - almost 3 hours for lunch and 2 hours for dinner. The washrooms were also not clean. When we brought this to their attention, they tried to resolve the issue, but it was still a horrible experience. Paying such a huge amount of money and suffering through long wait times and uncleanliness is unacceptable. One room was not clean, and the wait for lunch and dinner took more than 3 hours. Very disappointing!

Here is our experience: I reserved 4 rooms for 2 nights. Check-in time per reservation invoice was 2pm. My family reached resort around 2:30pm. However rooms were not ready. Staff asked us to wait in the reception for some time. Got keys of 2 rooms after 30 minutes and got other two rooms after 30 more minutes only. One of the rooms needed a wooden spoon to turn-on the electicity :) The next day, it was raining for a couple of hours - the entire property got flooded and even walking was difficult. I think, the breakfast was yummy. Because the flies in the entire district were assembling there :) While checking out, I recieved a bill of aprox Rs.1700 for the items consumed from minibar. I got suspecious; but my family members already left for Bekal fort - hence, couldn't verify immediately. Later I checked with my family; they also got surprised - they haven't even seen many of those items in the minibar. Calculation showed that the total amount comes around Rs.650 only. I sent the details of items consumed from each room to the resort people. What all they did was vehemently denying the wrongdoings - obviously, we will be having no evidence for proving the non-consumption of non-existing things. I have stayed in many hotels & resorts across the world. I can say it is not the worst one. But, if you compare based on room prices, the quality of service and quality of stay in Malabar Ocean Resort were terrific. Staff definitely needs proper training too.

Easily one of best properties I ever stayed. By the beach, the coconut trees are the stand out. Icing on the cake is swing and hammock overseeing the beach.
