We gathered for a course reunion in Alappuzha, Kerala to celebrate the auspicious Onam festival in its authentic culture and tradition. The event took place from August 19 to August 23, 2026, with 24 coursemates, 12 spouses, and 3 children, totaling 38 people. Our organizer, Manoj, chose Paradise Ayurveda & Yoga Retreat in Marari, Mararikulam, Kerala, as the main accommodation since the initial group was smaller. The owner, Mr. Sinu, was responsible for hosting and coordinating the cultural events for the reunion, and he did an excellent job. As the group grew, Mr. Sinu arranged for nearby properties to accommodate the extra guests. Throughout our stay, Mr. Sinu and his team made sure we experienced traditional living. Each local dish was unique, with the chef showcasing his culinary skills. Manager Mr. Rajesh was also actively involved in making our stay memorable. The resort features The Prana Ayurvedic Spa & Wellness Center, led by Dr. Manisha, offering professional therapies by skilled staff. We also appreciated the ever-smiling Marco, who assisted with cab bookings, laundry, massage sessions, and more. Mr. Sinu has clearly put his heart and soul into maintaining this beautiful, peaceful property. We enjoyed unforgettable moments with the staff, who organized traditional dances, provided complimentary attire like sarees for women and mundus for men, and arranged a full-day boat cruise on the backwaters. The highlight was the well-coordinated Snake Boat Race event at Punnamada Lake with Ramada Hotel. The resort is just 100 meters from Marari Beach, a serene spot perfect for watching sunrises, sunsets, and listening to the waves. I highly recommend visiting this resort to enjoy its peaceful atmosphere away from the crowds.

Around 40 of us, along with our military course mates, enjoyed five fantastic days at Paradise Resort in Alappuzha, making it a truly unforgettable experience. The resort is perfectly situated just a short stroll from the beach, featuring calm blue waters and lovely sandy beaches. Our rooms were roomy, clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, which made our stay very enjoyable. We must especially thank the owner, Mr. Seenu, a true gentleman who met all our needs with a friendly smile and great patience—something appreciated given the sometimes particular nature of military guests! The kitchen was outstanding, with the chef presenting a new menu daily that included South Indian, Continental, and Chinese dishes. Not once was a dish repeated during our five-day visit, and every meal was delicious. The Prana Ayurveda experience was also excellent; Dr. Manisha provided clear, focused consultations tailored to our individual needs, and the treatments were carefully customized. Mr. Marco Polo deserves a special mention as well for coordinating everything with a smile and always being available, even at unusual hours, which greatly enhanced our stay. Our trip was further enriched by a full-day cruise and the chance to see the amazing Alappuzha Snake Boat Race. In summary, Paradise Resort offered exactly what we wanted—a calm, peaceful retreat from daily life, combined with superb hospitality, food, and amenities. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the entire Paradise Resort team. We had a wonderful five days and highly recommend this spot to anyone seeking a relaxing and refreshing stay in a stunning setting. Truly a well-earned five-star experience!

The whole resort was reserved for a gathering during Onam. The guests were greeted with great hospitality and warmth, including ethnic cuisine, traditional welcomes, and rituals that truly stand out. Throughout our four-day stay, the staff was constantly attentive to ensure guest comfort. The management even went the extra mile to arrange our tickets for the annual Nehru Cup Snake Boat race, providing us with an excellent view from a stand opposite the VIP grandstand. This place is highly recommended for families and friends seeking an authentic Kerala experience.

Une expérience mémorable mêlant hospitalité et confort. Nous avons passé un séjour formidable dans ce magnifique complexe, idéalement placé près de la plage. L'accueil des hôtes était exceptionnel : leur gentillesse, leur amabilité et leur chaleur humaine nous ont profondément touchés. Nous avons été reçus avec un charmant rituel traditionnel et un verre de bienvenue, une attention qui a tout de suite instauré une ambiance conviviale et chaleureuse. Les hôtes nous ont aussi grandement aidés à organiser une petite visite de la ville en tuk-tuk, qu'ils ont trouvé très facilement pour nous. Ce geste a été très apprécié et nous a permis de découvrir les alentours sans souci. La chambre était très grande, impeccable et très bien tenue. Un point particulier pour la literie, excellente, qui nous a assuré de très bonnes nuits. Côté repas, nous nous sommes régalés ! Une cuisine délicieuse, savoureuse et très généreuse. Les portions étaient même particulièrement abondantes — presque trop grandes tant elles étaient généreuses ! 😄 Bravo au chef pour la qualité des plats, ainsi qu'à toute l'équipe pour son professionnalisme et sa gentillesse. Un grand merci aussi à Marco Polo et à toute l'équipe pour avoir rendu notre séjour si agréable. Un très bel établissement, une équipe attentionnée, une cuisine excellente, une chambre confortable et un emplacement proche de la plage : nous recommandons vivement cet endroit ! Nous reviendrons.
