Kudos to team especially to Siva from housekeeping! The night security is so helpful & was trying to do best on my ev charging! Of course the front office lack support to the guest specifically the FOM don’t have courtesy to assist my question!Overall we are satisfied!

We had a very pleasant stay at Red Fox. The staff were consistently friendly and courteous across departments. The reception team was welcoming and efficient, while the restaurant staff’especially Sankar, Abdul and others ’were attentive and made dining a comfortable experience. Mohan from housekeeping deserves special mention for maintaining the rooms well and being prompt and helpful.The rooms were of optimal size, clean, and well maintained, providing a comfortable stay. The food was tasty and satisfying, adding to the overall positive experience. We also appreciated the management taking the time to personally enquire about our well-being, which reflected genuine care for guests. Overall, it was a smooth and enjoyable stay, and we would be happy to recommend the property.

On our way back from Velankanni Church, we decided to break the journey and stay overnight before flying out the next morning. Our first choice was the Courtyard by Marriott, but as it was sold out, we opted for the next option that appeared on Google Red Fox by Lemon Tree Hotels. Since this brand is not well known in North America, we did some research beforehand. It was described as a modern, vibrant hotel catering to business travellers seeking reasonably priced accommodation.The hotel is located directly opposite the old bus station, an extremely busy and chaotic street corner. Upon entering the reception, we were surprised to find all three receptionists with their heads down, focused on their computer screens, with absolutely no acknowledgement of guests standing in front of them. Eventually, we managed to get their attention and informed them of our reservation. We were assigned Room 315.At first glance, the signage and overall concept were appealing somewhat reminiscent of the Tru by Hilton style, with a youthful and functional design. A certificate displayed at the entrance proudly noted that the hotel had been recognized as the best hotel in the city in 2019.Unfortunately, it appeared that the recognition ended there.Once inside the room, the lack of upkeep was immediately noticeable. The window glass from outside were layered with dust. The bathroom had mould forming along the lower edges. Several pieces of furniture were visibly damaged, with no signs of regular maintenance. The television offered not a single non-Tamil channel, which was disappointing for international guests.The shower was extremely poorly designed. Once you take a shower the entire toilet gets covered with water that splashed from the shower. Serious architectural issues. Couldn’t understand why there was a window at the same level. If opened and taken a shower, there will be serious damage to the exterior wall.Later, when we went downstairs for tea, the reception staff’s attitude remained unchanged disengaged and indifferent. The main entrance door was left wide open, allowing all the air-conditioning to escape into the street, yet no one seemed concerned enough to address it. This level of indifference was simply unacceptable.However, our experience took a positive turn at the restaurant. We were served tea by an exceptional gentleman named Abdul. He was the complete opposite of the reception team ’ warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. He even suggested we return for dinner. Impressed by his professionalism and attitude, we decided to dine there that evening. The service remained consistently excellent throughout. Abdulla is truly an asset to the hotel.I sincerely hope the owners and decision-makers of this brand take a serious look at accountability ’ particularly at the leadership, maintenance, and housekeeping levels. The hotel clearly has strong potential, but without proper management and oversight, that potential is steadily fading. With the right leadership and renewed focus, it could once again live up to the standard it proudly celebrated in 2019.

Everything felt functional and clean ’ comfortable bed, good air-conditioning, proper work desk, and a neat bathroom. It’s not a luxury hotel, but it delivers exactly what it promises: a clean, no-nonsense stay without unnecessary frills.What I liked most was the consistency in cleanliness and maintenance. Housekeeping was prompt, and the room felt fresh throughout my stay. Staff interactions were polite and professional, especially at the front desk, where check-in and check-out were smooth and quick.Breakfast was simple but adequate. Limited spread compared to larger hotels, but the food was fresh, well prepared, and sufficient to start the day. For someone on a work schedule, it worked perfectly.On the downside, the rooms may feel slightly small if you are travelling with family or heavy luggage. Also, those expecting premium amenities or elaborate dining options may feel it’s limited. However, considering the pricing and purpose of the hotel, these are understandable.Overall, Red Fox is a reliable option for business travellers and short stays ’ clean rooms, efficient service, and good value for money. If your priority is comfort, hygiene, and practicality rather than luxury, this hotel does the job very well.

I had a nice experience during my stay. Room was small but enough for a good sleep. Bed was comfortable and pillows were soft. The service was slow from reception but it was courteous. The buffet food was delicious with moderate use of spices, perfect for a nice stay.The location is excellent and close to station
