Helpful Staff Amid Safety Issue

The stay was generally comfortable and the staff were helpful, but I encountered a major safety problem with the balcony door. Early one morning, I stepped onto the balcony and the door locked behind me unexpectedly while my 5-year-old daughter was sleeping alone inside. Luckily, I had my phone and contacted the hotel staff right away. The maintenance team arrived promptly and showed me how to open the door with screwdrivers; they also brought ropes as a backup when I initially couldn't unlock it. I truly appreciate their swift help during this stressful event. However, a hotel balcony door should never lock a guest outside without a safe way to get back in. I strongly urge management to inspect and permanently repair this locking mechanism, as the situation could have been far worse if I hadn't had my phone.
