1. Food - terribly cooked/ undercooked. Throw food in bowls like its a road side cafe. Buffet - Idlies from a day before, plates unclean, tables dirty, mats never washed, servers shout at each other. 2. They only make beds and remove old linen. They dont clean bathrooms. Had a long stay, I had to wash the bathroom, mop the room myself because they simply dont. 3. Finger marks on room doors, handles, furniture - they dont clean even if you tell them,4. Bathrooms stink. They refuse to use water and soap to clean. 5. Even if u remove old linen - they reuse it.6. Reception staff is sweet and kind. But that doesnt create efficiency. 7. If you want access, hygiene - do not stay here.
My stay at **Sarovar Portico Jaisalmer** was a great place to unwind after exploring the incredible **Jaisalmer Fort**.After spending the day wandering through the vibrant living fort ’ where people still live within its golden sandstone walls ’ and visiting the stunning Jain temples known for their intricate architecture, it was the perfect place to relax for the night.The hotel offered a comfortable and welcoming stay with spacious rooms, good food, and helpful staff. It provided a calm and convenient base after a day of exploring one of Rajasthan’s most unique historic sites.Overall, it’s a solid and comfortable option for anyone visiting Jaisalmer and wanting easy access to the city’s historic highlights.

Solo Traveller • Mar 2026We stayed two nights at Saira Fort. Good service and helpful staff. The courtyard is nice. However the two rooms we were given reeked of stale tobacco and urinal. The staff were accommodating and reassigned two new rooms which were better. However there is a lingering sewerage smell as we walked along the long corridors adjacent to the rooms that never quite went away. Really hope the management can do something about that. The breakfast spread was decent.
