A fantastic place to spend a holiday with friends and family. The staff are helpful and attentive. The food is tasty. Overall, a great experience. Strongly recommended.

We booked samudra resort and spa for 2 days After arriving at property we came to know about lack of basic facilities such as intercoms, television was not working, no WiFi connection, food quality was substandard, staffs were not friendly. We had to leave next day as there was no effort to address our inconvenience by resort management team.

The resort is situated quite a distance from Puri, along Satpada road, with a difficult approach especially in the evening due to a narrow road and many cattle, making the trip from Puri take about an hour depending on traffic. On the plus side, the room was clean, spacious, and comfortable with good bedding, and the outdoor areas were tidy and fairly well kept. The peaceful riverside setting and the included boat ride to the sea were nice touches. However, these positives don't really justify the roughly ₹10,000 per night cost. The food was very pricey for the quality, which was disappointing. Wi-Fi was unavailable in the room and mobile network coverage was almost nonexistent, complicating communication; we had to go to the front desk to reach room service. Activities at the resort were very limited; the boat ride wasn't initially available during our stay and only started around 3 PM. The swimming pool was particularly unsatisfactory, appearing poorly chlorinated with visible algae and insects, making it unpleasant to use. Another big issue was the large number of monkeys around the property, which seemed to pose a real safety risk, especially for families with kids. Overall, the quiet riverside location and clean, comfortable rooms are the main benefits, but given the remote location, poor connectivity, limited activities, neglected pool, monkey problem, and expensive food, the experience does not seem worth ₹10,000 per night. The beautiful setting is overshadowed by the need for major improvements in facilities, upkeep, food quality, and guest convenience to justify the price.

Our experience at Samudra Resorts and Spa was wonderful! The setting is enchanting—quiet, without any traffic sounds, and distant from busy areas. Access to a private beach was a standout feature. The accommodations were clean and cozy, and the pool was kept in great condition. The resort offers many activities like hiking, cycling, and other outdoor fun. Definitely a great choice for a peaceful vacation!
