Shanti The Grand Palace

Stayed at Shanti The Great Palace, Ratnagiri for 2 days. The hotel is located conveniently in the market area, with the Ratnagiri bus stop nearby and several tourist attractions easily accessible from the property. There are also 3’4 temples within walking distance, which is a plus for travellers.The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the beds were soft and cozy, giving a proper hotel-like comfort experience.Since the hotel is situated in the market area, there isn’t much of a scenic view from the rooms. One thing that could definitely improve is the staff service, which was not very satisfactory during the stay. Also, the lift felt a slightly scary to use.Overall, it’s a good place for stay considering the location and room comfort, but the service, view, and lift experience could be best

Decent hotel but the it's in the market area so it gets crowded in peak hours, also car parking is shared space around 100mtrs from hotel. Service is good and rooms are okay. And if you are with little kids avoid using the lift... It's not safe at all..

Not good!! There's nothing grand in this lodge except for the name. I have had seen the mixed opinion reviews, but wanted to give it a try.There's no gated parking even for the bikes.The rooms seem not painted for more than a year, there were some footprint and other marks on the walls. Telephone and TV were not working properly. I had to sleep with my head in the west direction, since the beds were laid in that direction. No sense of vastu for this place, the common toilet is placed in east direction, hot water comes in the jet spray in the morning time.I don't recommend single non AC room without attached bathroom. Stretch your budget and get the others for some manageable stay.
