Good rooms and a pleasant stay overall. There were quite a few insects due to the backwaters behind the homestay. The food was okay. The coconut trees around the property were the highlight.One suggestion: Consider choosing a name that's easier for most people, especially Maharashtrians, to understand and relate to, while being rooted in Konkan culture.

A very pleasant and tranquil spot. The rooms and bathrooms are extremely clean. Mr. Kaustubh and Limaye Kaka are very kind and helpful. The food is delicious and flavorful. Definitely worth trying. Had a great time 🥳🥳

We recently spent time at Sushegad Holiday Home in Ratnagiri and had a wonderful experience. If you want a calm, budget-friendly place close to nature, this spot is definitely worth a look. Property and Location: The property is beautifully situated on the banks of the Karla River, with views of the river right from the site. The area is surrounded by flowering plants, creating a serene and refreshing environment. There are six cottages, a large dormitory with 6–8 beds, and a well-designed machan offering a nice river view. The access road is in good shape, and Google Maps guides you directly to the property without any trouble. A shared dining area is available for guests to enjoy their meals. The owners live just across the road and are always reachable when needed. Room: The cottages are roomy and can easily fit a family of four. Each room includes AC, a ceiling fan, two single beds, chairs, side tables, an almirah with hangers, extra mattresses, an electric kettle, and even a clothes drying stand—a small but thoughtful touch. The attached bathrooms are also spacious. The only minor issue was somewhat low water pressure, but otherwise, everything was comfortable. There is no TV in the rooms, but the tranquil surroundings more than compensate for that. Service and Hospitality: The hospitality was the highlight of our visit. Mr. Kaustubh Limaye was an outstanding host. Even before we began exploring Ratnagiri, he helped us plan our itinerary and suggested some excellent dining spots. During our two-day stay, he acted as our local guide, always ready to assist with a smile. Special thanks also to Mr. Prakash, the caretaker, who was always attentive and ready to help with anything we needed. It was clear how well he takes care of the property, especially the lovely lawn and gardens. Food: The resort offers vegetarian meals, and we tried their Pohe for breakfast. It was simple, fresh, tasty, and generously served—four plates were more than enough for three adults. Another considerate touch was their supply of purified drinking water. They have a dedicated purification system and gladly provide both normal and chilled water free of charge, which is becoming rare these days. Parking: There is plenty of parking space on the premises for both two-wheelers and four-wheelers, making it very convenient for guests with their own vehicles. Charges: Given the beautiful riverside location, spacious rooms, cleanliness, warm hospitality, and overall experience, Sushegad Holiday Home offers great value for money. It is an excellent budget choice for families, solo travelers, and small groups visiting Ratnagiri. Overall: What truly sets Sushegad Holiday Home apart is not just its peaceful riverside setting but the warmth and care shown to guests. The lovely surroundings, comfortable cottages, delicious home-style breakfast, and exceptional hospitality from Mr. Kaustubh and his team made our stay unforgettable. We would gladly choose this place again on our next trip to Ratnagiri and highly recommend it to anyone seeking a clean, peaceful, and affordable place to stay.
