Sumitel Vista 800m from Mall Road

I had a very disappointing experience at Sumitel Vista, Darjeeling.During my stay, I found a rat inside my room and immediately recorded a video as evidence. I informed the hotel management right away and requested a refund because the room was clearly unhygienic. Around 20 minutes later, I saw another rat in the same room, confirming that this was not an isolated incident. I then requested a room change.A guest should never have to experience such conditions, especially in a hotel marketed as a 3-star property. The presence of rodents in a guest room raises serious concerns about hygiene, cleanliness, and pest control.What disappointed me even more was the way the situation was handled. Instead of taking responsibility and addressing the issue appropriately, the management failed to provide a satisfactory resolution.

Without a doubt one of the best hotels I have stayed at! Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the front desk Ms Lozin. The staff was extremely friendly, and our room was impeccably clean with a beautiful view of the mountains. The restaurant supervisor was slso very helpful.It feels like a home away from home!

Although the hotel location was OK, but it was uphill with some dangerous turns.apart from this, when we went, the check in process took almost more than two hours.The room was not ready The service was pathetic like the bedsheets and towels were torn.During the room service,The staff was forgetting to add towels in the bathroom. The bathroom area was very slippery. It was not giving good vibe although the quality of the food we were ordering was great but the breakfast buffet, which was added, they were providing the same breakfast every day, and the quantity was much much less in which all the other guests were also getting angry and were complaining too!I would just recommend this hotel to improve their service quality and should be more punctual and responsible enough to serve their guests and give them a great experience.

Amazing services. Staff were always available and were helpful. Never felt uncomfortable. The room was clean, bathroom was clean - brushes and soaps were provided. Food was tasty and buffet system gave us a lot of options to choose from. Hotel looks beautiful and clean. Sittings provided for guests. Location is great as there are shops near by for shopping

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming for a trip to Darjeeling.The staff, the amenities provided by the hotel is extremely satisfying. The behaviour of the staff is the best thing about this hotel. They are so helpful and swift in their services.The location is also just 10mins from Mall road. It's a little high hill but there is a shortcut available which is not that steep and directly leads to the Mall road.Summarising we had a wonderful stay over here.Would come here again.
