The First View Resort Lansdowne

My stay at First View in Lansdowne, Uttarakhand was excellent. The rooms were tidy, cozy, and well-kept, and the ambiance was friendly and inviting. The staff, especially Mr. Sushil, was courteous, supportive, and professional during my visit. All in all, it was an enjoyable experience that provided great value. I would certainly suggest this hotel to anyone seeking a comfortable and easy stay.

I recently stayed at First View Resort in Lansdowne, and my experience was somewhat mixed. The room was comfortable and nice, though I felt the price was a bit steep for what was offered. The best part was definitely the view, with our room overlooking the jungle and mountains, which was truly stunning. The swimming pool was excellent, and the scenery from there was breathtaking, making it a standout feature of the resort. However, the food and service were disappointing. The food quality was lacking, service was very slow, and the staff seemed indifferent, as if they were following their own rules rather than focusing on guests. The food tasted okay but was poorly cooked and presented. Sometimes the way the food was served felt more like a casual setup than a proper resort dining experience. I also found some concerning quality issues, like dough stuck to a roti and a small stone-like particle in the poha. In the activity room, after 11 PM, a staff member politely asked us to leave due to fixed hours, but I think these timings should be better communicated to guests beforehand. The parking area was spacious and felt secure, which was a positive. Overall, I would recommend First View Resort mainly for its beautiful location, room views, and swimming pool. The mountain and jungle scenery is truly worth seeing. However, the food quality, cooking, presentation, and service need a lot of improvement. Given the price, I expected a better hospitality experience. In summary, come for the views and pool, but don’t count on the food being a highlight.

The First View Resort, Lansdowne

The First View Resort, Lansdowne
