The First View Resort Lansdowne

Wonderful Stay at First View ResortI had a wonderful stay at First View Resort and really enjoyed the overall experience. The environment was peaceful, beautiful, and very welcoming. What I liked the most was the hospitality and treatment we received throughout our stay.A special thanks to Dipak, Sushil, and Satya Prasad Bhutt Ji for their kindness, helpful nature, and excellent hospitality. They made us feel comfortable and treated us like family. Their friendly behaviour and prompt service made our stay even more memorable.The staff was very supportive, and the overall environment of the resort was pleasant and relaxing. I truly appreciate the warm treatment we received.Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable stay in Lansdowne. I would definitely love to visit again! ❤️

The breakfast was typical. There were a lot of large insects, making it impossible to open the balcony after sunrise.

Staff: Courteous and attentive. Location: A bit early en route to Lansdown, yet suitable for a family stay. Amenities: Swimming pool, secure parking, indoor games such as Carrom board, pool table, and Jenga.

The staff is good.food is also good .cleanliness and overall resort is good .Room facilities are also good.One things that needs improvement is the quality of internet connectivity. Wifi signal is poor and occasionally switches off .

The hotel’s marketing and online representation create an impression of a premium 4-star property, but our actual experience was completely different. The services, cleanliness, and overall hospitality standards were nowhere close to what one would expect, and in many aspects felt below even basic standards.The food quality was a major disappointment — highly overpriced, lacking taste, and served in an unhygienic environment with flies around the dining area. Even basic breakfast arrangements seemed poorly managed, with delays in providing essentials like bread and butter, giving an impression of unnecessary cost-cutting.The swimming pool was poorly maintained and cleanliness across the property was a serious concern. Dirt and unclean areas were visible, which significantly affected the overall experience. Room service was extremely slow, and the in-room amenities were inadequate — just a small pack of shower gel and shampoo along with a tiny soap, which is not acceptable for a property claiming 4-star standards.Basic facilities were also poorly managed. The generator was not started proactively during power interruptions and required repeated reminders, creating inconvenience for guests. Wi-Fi connectivity was inconsistent with frequent disruptions, affecting the stay experience.Overall, the property appears to have invested more in marketing than in maintaining service quality and guest satisfaction. The gap between expectations created by their branding and the actual experience is extremely disappointing. Strong improvements are required in hygiene, hospitality, maintenance, food quality, and basic guest services before this property can genuinely justify its claimed rating.
