I stayed at Grand Hotel, Nainital on 5th July, and had a very pleasant experience. The hotel's location is excellent, offering easy access to the Mall Road and the beautiful Naini Lake, making it very convenient for sightseeing. I was also impressed by the cleanliness of the property. The rooms and common areas were well-maintained, neat, and hygienic, which made my stay comfortable and relaxing. The combination of a prime location and high standards of cleanliness makes Grand Hotel a great choice for anyone visiting Nainital. I would be happy to stay here again

Unfortunately, the hotel management was a major disappointment during our stay. Several family groups were staying on the first floor, and the corridor was effectively turned into a play area until well past midnight. Children were running, shouting, and riding scooters in the corridor, creating constant noise that echoed throughout the floor. While children naturally play and make noise, the level of disturbance at such late hours significantly affected the experience of other guests. It became difficult to relax, enjoy the lake view, or even sit outside the room peacefully. What was particularly disappointing was that neither the parents nor the hotel management appeared to take adequate steps to maintain a peaceful environment.Although the staff did respond after we raised the issue, the situation was obvious and should have been addressed proactively without requiring guest intervention.Another concern was the lack of enforcement of hotel rules. Notices throughout the property clearly state that drinking is not permitted on the premises, yet several guests from the same groups were openly walking around the hotel with alcoholic drinks until 2–3 AM.I would strongly recommend that the management enforce its own policies and take responsibility for maintaining a peaceful environment for all guests. Guests should not have to repeatedly complain to receive the basic comfort and tranquility expected from a stay at a heritage property
