The Katoch Grand Resort

This hotel is fantastic! The views of the mountains are incredible, and the cuisine is excellent. It’s situated in a quiet spot away from traffic but still near Solang, Rohtang, and the Atal Tunnel. Very safe for families and ideal for a romantic honeymoon.

The hot water temperature was inconsistent, sometimes turning to a cooler temperature (though not very cold), but overall the experience was good.

The views are fantastic, though the hotel is located away from the main market. Otherwise, it was a wonderful stay with excellent food. The rooms with river views are very nice.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights (24th’27th June) and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. We paid around ’12,000 for our stay, but the quality of the hotel was nowhere near the price.The room was old, poorly maintained, and not properly cleaned. The bathroom hand shower (handjet) was not working from the first day, and despite informing the staff multiple times, it was never repaired during our entire stay.The food was another major disappointment. The buffet had very limited variety, and the same dishes were repeated on multiple days. The breakfast spread was also very basic with very few options, making it an unpleasant start to each day. The taste and quality of the food were below average.The hotel overall lacks proper maintenance and attention to guest comfort. For the amount we paid, we expected much better cleanliness, service, and food quality.Pros:Location was decent.Cons:Old and dirty rooms.Poor room maintenance.Bathroom hand shower not working and issue remained unresolved.Repetitive and below-average buffet.Limited breakfast options.Poor value for money.Slow response to guest complaints.No AC, heater is chargeable to additional 500rs per nightOverall disappointing hospitality.I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and certainly would not choose to stay here again.

Food was poor, breakfast options were limited to oats, maggi, and cold sandwiches for three days, and there was no coffee available. In June, the room felt suffocating due to the absence of a fan and AC.
