Tirthan village resort

A lovely place to stay with fairly spacious rooms that include balconies, and washrooms equipped with all essential toiletries. The food tastes like homemade meals. The owner, Mr. Pawan, was very helpful, and the assistant, Mr. Teja, was always willing to assist. The Tirthan River is within walking distance. The only drawbacks are the location's remoteness and the poor condition of the roads, which are dusty and uneven. Otherwise, we had a very pleasant stay.

Very disappointing experience! The owner was hostile on the first day, insisting on full payment immediately and threatening to involve the police when we declined. The rooms were very simple, with frequent problems in electricity and bathroom water supply. The so-called inclusive food package turned out to be misleading, as most items cost extra. The management was unprofessional and the facilities poor. Best to stay away!

I want to warn everyone planning to stay at Tirthan Village Resort, as we had a terrible experience there recently. Even though we booked well ahead, our rooms were not ready. Basic items like towels in the bathroom and tea-making facilities were missing. The owner, Pawan, was very rude and dismissive, acting like "do whatever you want, we can't offer more." He was only interested in collecting the remaining payment without ensuring basic comforts and seemed unconcerned about our well-being. Getting a glass of hot water in the morning was very difficult. We were a group of 11 adults who went through this ordeal — imagine how families or solo travelers might feel at this remote resort. It does not seem safe for families or young solo guests. I am sharing this to raise awareness. While one might tolerate poor facilities, feeling unsafe during a stay is unacceptable. I strongly recommend checking recent reviews and confirming all arrangements before booking. Your safety and peace of mind should always come first.

Extremely disappointing experience with an unpleasant stay. Spending two nights was stressful due to the staff's rude behavior, which was completely unacceptable. The situation could have been handled much more kindly, but unfortunately, the owner/manager decided otherwise.

My stay was disappointing with very poor hospitality. The owner, a man with matted hair, was rude and intimidating. Basic amenities like a phone in the room, an electric kettle with tea and milk sachets, and bottled water were missing. One of our rooms was only half finished, but he still rented it to us, insisting we make do. Another room had no electricity in the bathroom, and in a different room, the flush was broken. We had paid in advance for one day and wanted to leave the next morning due to these issues, but the owner overheard and started pressuring us to pay for the full day, even calling the police. Politeness and meeting reasonable requests seem absent here. Also, the hotel is not riverside as claimed; it's a 10-minute walk away. I did not feel safe there.
