This message is for the owners or those in charge of this resort: please either replace your front office/reservation staff or train them better on how to treat customers. When calling to book, we first have to deal with their attitude, and they don't give proper answers when we ask for details. We called twice for information and still got no response. Also, the lady in the reservation department had a very bad attitude, making it seem like she didn't want to take bookings at all. So, we chose another resort.

Disappointing Recent Stay

Whenever we planned a trip to Munnar, Trivers was always our top pick for a staycation since this place consistently offered us quality stays and a calm environment. I have also posted positive reviews about this property before. Sadly, our recent visit turned out to be a total disaster and very disappointing. We arrived at the property around 3:15 PM. A front-desk employee took us to our room, but unfortunately, it hadn't been cleaned yet. Almost all the rooms on the floor were still being cleaned, making the whole experience quite unpleasant and unwelcoming. We were then given another room, but it had a very strong and bad odor. We waited for the first room to be cleaned, hoping things would get better. I have always valued the staff at Trivers for their hospitality and service, but none of the staff members we had dealt with before were present this time. There was also a kitchen/supply staff member whose constant staring and rude behavior made us feel very uneasy. We ordered chicken curry, which smelled terrible and was inedible. This was another big letdown. I honestly don't know if the management responsible will see this review, but I am writing it because I truly feel sad about what has happened to a place that used to be one of my favorite stays in Munnar. Trivers was special to us because of its peaceful vibe, quality service, and the overall experience it used to offer. I sincerely hope the management addresses the staff behavior, housekeeping, food quality, and general upkeep of the property and takes steps to restore it to the standards it was known for. This review comes from genuine disappointment, as we expected much better from a place we had trusted and loved for so long.
