Staying at Vintage Vista Heritage Homestay was truly enjoyable. Since our main goal was visiting temples, we didn't have high expectations, but this place is a beautifully maintained historic ancestral home—the former residence of T.K. Nair, the Ex-Prime Minister of the Kochi Princely State. The rooms are very spacious and feature beautiful traditional Kerala architecture with polished wooden ceilings and vintage windows. A major highlight was the private path leading straight to the serene Bharathapuzha River, which my children especially enjoyed. The host, Mr. Reji, and the staff were very helpful and welcoming, attending to all our needs. The only downside was the lack of good restaurants nearby, as it's a typical village. However, if you inform Mr. Reji, he can arrange meals, or you can get food from Thiruvilwamala town. The property also has a shared kitchen and dining area where you can eat if you bring your own cooked or restaurant food. We will definitely consider staying here again on our next visit.

Our stay here was delightful and tranquil. The property is a well-preserved traditional Kerala tharavadu, providing an authentic and soothing retreat away from urban life. The room was large and featured well-kept interiors. Thoughtful touches such as water storage with a jug, a charging stand, and a traditional stone in the bathroom showed the effort to blend comfort with heritage. Access to the kitchen and dining area made the experience feel more like being at home than in a hotel. The environment is peaceful, with Bharathappuzha (Nila) just a brief walk away. A few points to consider: the property is located in a quiet residential village near Lakkidi/Thiruvilwamala. The access road is somewhat narrow and uneven, and the area is calm and a bit secluded, though there are nearby houses. Overall, it is highly recommended for a serene stay connected to nature with traditional Kerala appeal.
