Vintage Vista

Our stay here was delightful and tranquil. The property is a well-preserved traditional Kerala tharavadu, providing an authentic and soothing retreat away from urban life. The room was large and featured well-kept interiors. Thoughtful touches such as water storage with a jug, a charging stand, and a traditional stone in the bathroom showed the effort to blend comfort with heritage. Access to the kitchen and dining area made the experience feel more like being at home than in a hotel. The environment is peaceful, with Bharathappuzha (Nila) just a brief walk away. A few points to consider: the property is located in a quiet residential village near Lakkidi/Thiruvilwamala. The access road is somewhat narrow and uneven, and the area is calm and a bit secluded, though there are nearby houses. Overall, it is highly recommended for a serene stay connected to nature with traditional Kerala appeal.

Some places offer comfort, while others create lasting memories. Vintage Vista provided us with both. We arrived in the afternoon with our family of 18 and immediately felt the uniqueness of this place. Having booked the entire property, we were struck by how well the century-old heritage home has been preserved. The wooden floors, courtyards, and architecture all reflect history, maintained with great care and affection. What I appreciated most was how the setting naturally united everyone. In our busy lives, it’s rare to see three generations simply sitting together, chatting, laughing, and sharing stories without any rush. The tranquil environment slowed us down, making that the highlight of our trip. The private access to the Bharathapuzha River was a wonderful bonus, allowing us peaceful visits without crowds or noise, as if we had our own private spot in Kerala. Special thanks to Reji, who looked after us throughout our stay, making us feel like family rather than guests at a commercial place. The location is also convenient, close to attractions like Thiruvilwamala Sree Vilwadrinatha Temple, Kuthampully for handloom shopping, Ananganmala Eco Tourism, and Varikkasseri Mana. When it was time to leave, no one was eager to go, which is the best compliment we can give. Everyone, from the youngest to the oldest, cherished the experience. If you’re planning a family or group trip and want more than a typical resort, Vintage Vista is definitely worth it. We returned with wonderful memories and look forward to coming back.
