Beautiful hill-top stay with tea garden views, but note the unique dining rules!I stayed here for 5 nights and had a wonderful experience overall. The hotel is beautifully located on a hill top, excellently maintained, and the deluxe rooms offer breathtaking views of the surrounding tea gardens—it truly feels like staying in the arms of nature.The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. A special mention goes to Danapal Sir; despite his age, he went above and beyond to assist us. Thanks to his help, we even managed to visit the Manampalli Power House, an exclusive entry that common visitors rarely get to experience!However, there are a few important things to keep in mind before booking:• No Room Service: You have to head up to the 5th floor for all meals and tea.• Pre-ordered Meals: You need to place your restaurant order at least 2 hours in advance, which felt a bit unusual. In a chilly hill station, having tea delivered to the room on demand would be a huge improvement.• Local Food Scene: Don't expect fast-food chains like Domino's, Pizza Hut, or KFC in the city. You'll be eating local South Indian cuisine, which operates on strict timings: Breakfast (8:00 AM – 11:00 AM) features idli, dosa, and puri; Lunch (12:00 PM – 4:00 PM) is traditional rice and sambar; Dinner is mostly dosas, parottas, and chapatis.Most town restaurants close by 9:30 PM, so plan your meals accordingly! Despite the food logistics, it remains the best hotel to stay at in the area.
Not maintain properly
The view from our room was very good. The room was very clean. The restaurant facilities however needs improvement. Food has to be ordered 2 hours in advance and the food quality was just ok.
