India will soon get a bullet train from Kanyakumari to Chennai

After India’s 1st bullet train between Mumbai and Ahmedabad, another one has been proposed from Kanyakumari to Chennai.

A new four-lane road to Kochi and another one from Kanyakumari to Chennai has also been proposed.

The work for Mumbai-Ahmedabad is in full swing and the government is reportedly planning to add 10 more bullet trains in the rail network. This mega plan will include these bullet train corridors with a total length of around 6,000 km across the country.

NHSRCL (National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited) is executing the bullet train project between Ahmedabad and Mumbai. The total length of this corridor is 508.17 km and the route will be passing through two states, Maharashtra and Gujarat and one Union Territory, Dadra and Nagar Haveli.

The proposal for this bullet train has already been sent to the Cabinet for approval. The proposal seeks permission to conduct a feasibility test along with a detailed project report for 10 possible bullet train projects across India.
