Indian travellers can now visit these 5 countries without undergoing quarantine

As many countries have now reopened their borders for travellers from India owing to the improving COVID-19 situation in the country, now is a great time to plan an international trip!

If you are fully vaccinated and are keen to know which countries you can visit without worrying about quarantine, here is a list of countries that will help you plan an international vacation at ease:

 > Switzerland

Want to live your DDLJ moment amidst the snow-capped mountains of Switzerland? If yes, then here’s some good news for you! Switzerland is now open for fully vaccinated Indian travellers. Indians who have received two doses of the Covishield vaccine are not required to carry a pre-departure negative test report. They will also be exempted from quarantine.


> United Kingdom

Indians who have been fully  vaccinated with two doses of Covishield can now enter the UK without having to undergo the 10-day quarantine requirement. All vaccinated travellers will undergo a test on day two after their arrival. The test must be booked in advance. However, unvaccinated/partially vaccinated travellers will be subject to 10-day quarantine.


> UAE

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is welcoming Indian travellers, provided that they have been fully vaccinated with Covishield. Travellers will require two pre-departure tests — one from an ICMR-approved lab, taken within 48 hours of departure, and a rapid PCR test from the departing airport. There will also be an additional test on arrival at airports in the UAE.


> USA

Indian travellers who are fully vaccinated with WHO approved vaccines for emergency use (Covishield) can travel to the United States starting from 8th November. Additionally, fully vaccinated travellers will also have to carry a COVID-19 negative test report issued within 72 hours of travel.


> Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka has reopened its borders to fully vaccinated Indian travellers. Travellers who have received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine are permitted to travel to Sri Lanka after having completed two weeks of receiving their second shot. Any vaccination type accepted by the country of origin is acceptable. Travellers must also carry a COVID-19 RT-PCR test report taken within 72 hours before departure, and will be allowed to stay in any accommodation and be exempted from on-arrival testing.
