India’s highest airport in Leh to get a new multi-level terminal building

India’s highest-commercial airport Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport in Leh, Jammu and Kashmir is constructing a new terminal building to cater to the growing traffic demand.

Equipped with modern passenger amenities, here are the 5 things one can expect from the new terminal in Leh:

> The new multi-level terminal will have 18,985 sqm area along with 1,185 sqm fixed link bridges, a utility building of 3340 sqm area.

> The new terminal will have 18 check-in counters.

> With an estimated project cost of Rs.480 crore, it will be able to handle 16 lacks passengers annually

> The interiors will depict the art & culture of Ladakh. The terminal will also be well connected with elevators, escalators & staircases for smooth pax flow.

> The new terminal will have centralized cooling & heating systems to provide comfort in extreme winter conditions (-35°C) of Leh.
