Good news for bus travellers!
The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has announced free travel for senior citizens above the age of 75. This scheme came into effect on 26th August.

Search busesTravellers can avail this facility on State Transport buses by showing their identity documents, such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Driving Licence and Voter’s Card as proof of age.

MSRTC has also allowed a discount of 50% to all senior citizen passengers aged 65 to 75. Additionally, those who booked their tickets before 26th August are eligible for a fare refund, according to reports.
This decision was taken by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and his cabinet under the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav initiative.
