While not one, but two new regional airports are set to begin operations from March, IndiGo has launched the first-ever direct flight between Ranchi and Ahmedabad. Along with this, new flights have also been added on the Bhopal-Ahmedabad and Bhopal-Lucknow sectors.

Flights to begin from Bilaspur airport from March 1
Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has announced that domestic flight services from Chhattisgarh’s Bilaspur airport will begin from March 1 under the UDAN scheme. Bilaspur will be connected to Delhi via Bhopal, Prayagraj and Jabalpur:

As per latest reports, Air India subsidiary Alliance Air will be operating flights on the Bilaspur- Prayagraj-Delhi route. The booking details as well as information on the other two routes is expected to be released shortly.
First direct flight begins between Ranchi and Ahmedabad
Budget carrier IndiGo has launched the first direct, non-stop flight connecting Ranchi and Ahmedabad. Flight 6E622 takes off from Ranchi at 08:20 pm and arrives in Ahmedabad at 10:40 pm, while flight 6E621 takes off from Ahmedabad at 05:25 pm and arrives in Ranchi at 07:40 pm.
Both these flights will be operated on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Passengers can conveniently book them on ixigo and avail great discounts.
Kurnool airport to get scheduled flight services from March 28
IndiGo is all set to launch flights from Kurnool airport from March 28. The airport, which will see flights under the regional connectivity scheme Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik (UDAN), is Andhra Pradesh’s sixth airport, after Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Tirupati, Kadapa and Rajahmundry airports.
The flights will connect Kurnool to Bengaluru, Visakhapatnam and Chennai. The flights to Kurnool from Bengaluru and Visakhapatnam will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays while the flights between Chennai and Kurnool will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. The booking for these flights is expected to begin soon.
New flights from Bhopal to Ahmedabad and Lucknow
IndiGo has also launched new non-stop flights on the Bhopal – Ahmedabad and Bhopal – Lucknow sectors. Passengers can conveniently book them on ixigo.
Flight 6E7169 will depart from Bhopal at 09:05 pm and arrive in Ahmedabad at 10:45 pm, flight 6E7166 will depart from Ahmedabad at 02:35 pm and arrive in Bhopal at 04:05 pm.
Flight 6E7167 will depart from Bhopal at 04:35 pm and arrive in Lucknow at 06:25 pm, while flight 6E7168 will depart from Lucknow at 06:50 pm and arrive in Bhopal at 08:40 pm.
