Railway Update: Several Train Services Started and Extended

As the COVID situation in the country is getting better and Holi is just around the corner, Indian Railways is all set to cater to the festive rush. Railways has started, extended and restored a number of train services on the high-rush routes to ensure a comfortable travel experience for all.

Here are some of the important details –

1) To clear the extra rush of passengers during Aanganewadi and Holi festival, Konkan Railways in coordination with the Central Railway is starting a number of special trains. Train number 01161 Lokmanya Tilak – Sawantwadi Road – Lokmanya Tilak will operate on a weekly basis. It will leave Lokmanya Tilak on 23rd February (Wednesday) and will reach Sawantwadi Road the next day.

2) The Western Railways is planning to run a fully reserved superfast special train on special fare between Bandra Terminus and Bhuj for the convenience of passengers.

3) The North Western Railway tweeted about the extension of Sabarmati – Bhagat ki Kothi – Sabarmati till Jodhpur. Starting from 7th February, train no. 14819 Bhagat ki Kothi – Sabarmati Express will operate as Jodhpur – Sabarmati Express.
